Cardinham: Cornish flow trails
A little weekend down in Cornwall brought me over to Cardinham forest. The Forestry Commission in the UK have once again made a great little trail through the picturesque Cornish forest. We did the extension to the blue trail which has a red route added on. The red is noticeably rougher going and there is a monster of a climb up 'Hells Teeth' before dropping back down into the carpark.
Check out the trail centre below:

Beast of Bodmin Moor Caught on Camera?
Damn guys, I was out walking up a haunted back lane and heard this screaming coming from the woods. I tried my best to investigate.
What do you recon it was? The noise was blood curdling.

10 Exciting Facts About The Beast of Bodmin Moor
Thanks for watching.....
The Beast of Bodmin, also known as the Beast of Bodmin Moor (Cornish: Best Goon Brenn) is a phantom wild cat purported to live in Cornwall, in the United Kingdom. Bodmin Moor became a centre of these sightings with occasional reports of mutilated slain livestock: the alleged panther-like cats of the same region came to be popularly known as the Beast of Bodmin Moor.
In general, scientists reject such claims because of the improbably large numbers necessary to maintain a breeding population and because climate and food supply issues would make such purported creatures' survival in reported habitats unlikely.

CORNISH WALK - Cardinham Woods
Join us as we explore Cardinham Woods near Bodmin. This is a delightful hidden gem just a couple of miles from the A30 but still quiet and secluded.
There are several trails to follow, including one for children. We followed the silver trail, Wheal Glynn Walk, 3 miles. This is a long loop from the Lady Vale Bridge leading to the old lead and silver mine. The old engine house and chimney can still be seen amongst the trees. A steep ascent, but the reward is a leisurely descent with wonderful views oner the forest Joining us were my parents who coped easily thanks to well-maintained paths and sturdy benches.
Afterwards we enjoyed lunch at the Woods Cafe, surrounded by autumn colour and occasionally catching the old steam whistle of the Bodmin and Wenford railway!
The Bombing of Bodmin 7 August 1942
2012 sees the 70th anniversary of the day World War Two came to Bodmin. This video book tells the story of a tip and run raid by two German fighter-bombers which brought death and destruction to the county town of Cornwall, UK. Using eyewitness testimony, wartime photographs, read, see and hear the incredible stories of life and death from that fateful Friday. Nine were killed, 18 injured and 400 made homeless, but it could have been so much worse...
If you can add any detail to the story of that day with a family story, old photograph or historical research please add a comment.
This video has been made to honour the memory of James Edgar Tippett and the 8 members of the Sargent family who died that day. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
