The 21 August 2017 Total Eclipse from Tryon, NE
This video of the eclipse was taken from Tryon, Nebraska. We'd driven around 130 miles on the NE-40 from Kearney and saw hardly any traffic. The high resolution video was made using a 72mm aperture, f/13 refractor and a Canon EOS600D camera. The public site at Tryon was fantastic.

May 4th, 2016- Fort Collins, CO to Denver, CO
Started the morning with a big breakfast and a couple coffees in Fort Collins before making the drive into Denver. Two awesome schools, a trip to Red Rocks and a run around the city capped the 7th great day of this road trip.
Eclipse 360 at totality near Alliance, Nebraska
360 degree footage of a couple minutes before totality, a couple minutes after, and all of during. Seeing the sun itself is useless as there was no solar filter, but it's great for the crowd, landscape, and horizon. You can also see a couple planets during totality.

385 - Gold Rush Byway
In the late 1800s, this byway was a well-traveled path for transporting gold bullion out of the Black Hills. Today, those in search of gold will find it in the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets that spill across the rugged landscape.
Explore a variety of attractions along 158 miles of Americaâs heartland. The unusual landmarks of Courthouse and Jail Rocks, quirky stops such as Carhenge, and nationally acclaimed mountain biking trails amid forested buttes are a mere sampling of what you will find.
Also take time to acquaint yourself with the areaâs rich history. Historical museums and attractions tell the story of the early fur trade, military forts, American Indian heritage, pioneer life . . . and even a few wild tales of the Old West.
