Fury 325 HD Front Seat On Ride POV & Review B&M Giga Coaster Carowinds
Hey coaster Fanatics. This is my HD front Seat on ride POV and review of Fury 325. This coaster made by B&M is the tallest and fastest Giga roller coaster on the planet. It is 325 feet tall and reaches speeds up to 95mph. It is located at Carowinds in Charlotte, North Carolina, although this coaster technically travels through South Carolina too. This was my first time on a B&M Giga coaster and i must say it was an awesome ride. It was very smooth and forceful. I Thought it was nice how the track went through the entrance or the park. It is a cool feature how this coaster kind of greets you as you walk in and is a great spot for photos. It is similar to how Gatekeeper fits into Cedar Points entrance. Now all that being said This was an Great ride but in my personal opinion, Millennium Force is better. Intamin Giga coasters are just better, but B&M still makes a great Giga. Thousands of Safety Violations Found in North Carolina
IN MEMORIAM: HAROLD C. CRESWELL, JR.
Harold C. Creswell, Jr., who retired from Haughton Elevator in Toledo, Ohio, in 1989 as vice president of Manufacturing, passed away on February 5 at the age of 84. Creswell was a U.S. Marine who fought in the Korean War. Despite lacking a high-school diploma, he worked his way up at Haughton from floor sweeper to the vice president position. He spent 38 years with the company, retiring after it had been acquired by Schindler and manufacturing moved from Toledo. Creswell is survived by his wife, Donnajean; sons, Jeff, Mike and Cris; daughters Susan and Cathy; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Church of St. Andrew United Methodist or Faith Community United Church of Christ.
THOUSANDS OF ELEVATOR-SAFETY VIOLATIONS IN N.C. COUNTY
A Channel 9 Eyewitness News investigation of the nearly 5,000 elevators in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, where Charlotte is located, found thousands of elevators with at least one safety violation and several with issues so severe that the state threatened to shut them down. Further, emergency responders performed 325 rescues of entrapped passengers in the county in 2015. The state has six elevator inspectors, and each unit is inspected once a year before being issued a certificate of operation. Unsafe elevators do not receive certificates, the state inspector said.

Bud Leonard's home on Panther Mountain Road looks like your average house. But what you can't see is that it's split in half.If we eat breakfast in the kitchen, we're in North Carolina, if we eat breakfast in the dining room, we're in South Carolina, says Leonard, while sitting in his living room - in North Carolina.The newly reestablished state line - separating Greenville and Henderson counties - runs through Leonard's main hallway. Most of the garage is in South Carolina - the living room is North Carolina, described Leonard, pointing to a plat of his property - with the state line dissecting his home.The Leonard's is the only house divided - but one of 125 properties that are being affected. We reestablished 334 miles of boundary, said Boundary Project Coordinator Alan-Jon Zupan. After 18 years, three weeks ago Zupan - in Columbia - and his counterparts in Raleigh finished walking and marking the original state line. Neither state maintained the boundary by putting up boundary markers, for 200 and some years, said Zupan.The King George III of England began marking the boundary with rocks and trees in 1772. The trees died and the rocks were moved.
