On a day of pulse type thundery showers I start by filming a squally shower near to Pentrich in Derbyshire with heavy rain and gusty winds. I then head to Carsington Reservoir near to Hognaston in the southern Peak District whereby I observe a dying cell with an impressive display of mammatus. Finally, I intercept a thunderstorm near to Ashbourne but it moves quickly and thus catches me rather than the other way around!!!
