Cartwright Hall, Bradford
Cartwright Hall is Bradford's civic art gallery and offers an exciting programme of contemporary exhibitions, with four permanent galleries displaying works from our art collections. The collections consist mainly of 19th and 20th century British art, with strong collections of international contemporary prints and contemporary South Asian art and crafts.
In 2008 Cartwright Hall re-opened its upper galleries with Connect, a new permanent exhibition. Connect makes connections between works of art from different cultures and times. This transcultural concept combines over two hundred Eastern and Western works of art displayed according to the universal themes of People, Place and Imagination.

Bradford is in the Metropolitan Borough of the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire, England, in the foothills of the Pennines 8.6 miles west of Leeds, and 16 miles northwest of Wakefield. Bradford became a municipal borough in 1847, and received its charter as a city in 1897. Following local government reform in 1974, city status was bestowed upon the wider metropolitan borough.
Historically a part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, Bradford rose to prominence during the 19th century as an international centre of textile manufacture, particularly wool. It was a boomtown of the Industrial Revolution, and amongst the earliest industrialised settlements, rapidly becoming the wool capital of the world. The area's access to a supply of coal, iron ore and soft water facilitated the growth of Bradford's manufacturing base, which, as textile manufacture grew, led to an explosion in population and was a stimulus to civic investment; Bradford has a large amount of listed Victorian architecture including the grand Italianate City Hall.
The textile sector in Bradford fell into decline from the mid-20th century. Since this time, Bradford has emerged as a tourist destination, becoming the first UNESCO City of Film with attractions such as the National Media Museum, Bradford City Park, the Alhambra theatre and Cartwright Hall. However, Bradford has faced similar challenges to the rest of the post-industrial area of Northern England, including deindustrialisation, social unrest and economic deprivation.

Cartwright Hall and Lister Park in Bradford - shot with Mavic 2 Pro
There are some lovely Autumnal colours in Lister Park, so I set about capturing them with the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. Cartwright Hall is a fantastic building which regularly features art exhibitions, so make sure you pop in next time you're in the area.
The video was shot in D-Log M at 4K and the downsampled to 1440p in Premiere Pro to allow for some cropping and zooming.
I used the standard LUT which is available via the DJI website @ and then did some minor colour grading.
If you have any question, fire them at me and i'll answer asap. Please like & subscribe if you enjoyed my video.

Silk - Bradford and the Sub-Continent at the Cartwright Hall
Silk - Bradford and the Sub-Continent
Cartwright Hall, Bradford: Sat, 21 Jul 2012 - Sun, 18 Nov 2012
An exhibition focused on the connections between the greater North and Bradford in particular with the subcontinent in relation to silk. Samuel Cunliffe Lister (1815 - 1906), the principal benefactor of Cartwright Hall, refined the production techniques of sumptuous silks from the Punjab and Assam in India. But Bradford's textile connections with the sub-continent run much deeper than this. The textile students at Bradford Technical College in the 19th and early 20th centuries - as well as the textile industry as a whole - were heavily influenced by Indian design vocabularies and weaving traditions. The emergence of a significant South Asian community in Bradford from the 1940s onwards, largely as industrious and productive textile mill workers, takes on a different kind of continuity in the light of this little discussed history. Items from Bradford Museums International Collection will feature.
