Carvoeiro is a Portuguese coastal town in the Algarve. Carvoeiro is commonly known as Praia de Carvoeiro, although this is no longer its formal name.
Formed from a picturesque fishing village, with a long history of settlement, the parish slowly developed into a tourist town, in the municipality of Lagoa.
Algar Seco, a few hundred meters along the coast east of the main square and beach, is a popular nature site where ocean wave erosion has carved out grottoes, islets and water-spouts.

Carvoeiro is a picturesque Portuguese resort town that have a stunning coastline, and makes for a fantastic holiday destination for tourists who are wishing a calm and relaxed holiday. Carvoeiro has so much to offer, including pristine beaches, a traditional Portuguese ambience and an extensive selection of restaurants and bars.
Algar Seco is made up of incredible natural rock formations. Coastal erosion for thousands of years has resulted in these wonderful rock formations.

Carvoeiro Portugal, Cliff Jumping at Praia do Carvalho Beach, Best Cliffjumping in the Algarve!
Carvalho Beach, or Praia do Carvalho, is definitely one of VFC's all time favorites. It's not a big beach, nor does it have the fantastic arches of other nearby beaches such as Praia da Marinha beach, Albandeira beach or Praia de Coelha beach, but if you're looking for great beach vibes, summer fun and the best cliff jumping in the Algarve, this beach is perfect.
Unfortunately, this was VFC's last day of a quick Algarve holiday - a plenty good reason to head to one of Portugal's best beaches. Off we drive towards Carvoeiro, where Carvalho beach lies just outside of Lagoa, not too far from Lagos. Approaching the beach from above, it's such a spectacular sight, with the high cliffs soaring around the beach area, looking down at the beautifully clear blue water.
The tide is in today, meaning there will plenty of Cliffjumping going on. Carvalho offers a couple of fine cliff jumping spots, a modest cliff jump for the beginners and then a soaring one for the brave.
The sun is shining, the water is crisp and refreshing - and the cliffjumping is money. After a really hard and tough work day at one of the Algarve's best beaches, we head to Armacao de Pera for some dinner on the waterfront.

With an old history, this picturesque fishing village in the Algarve, has a beach in a small bay of transparent waters, which makes it quite sheltered. At the place can be hired boats to visit the caves and isolated beaches.
Located 5 km from the city of Lagoa, the town of Carvoeiro offers a group of small beaches cut by rocky cliffs, with clear waters and fine sand, forming paradisiacal summer resorts.
Walking along the sea is one of the most beautiful walks that can be advised to those who visit Carvoeiro discovering not only the beauty of the beaches but also appreciating the testimonies that history has left in its architectural heritage.
The site of the Algar Seco is fantastic, with the harmonious set of its rocks that form authentic balconies and natural windows on the sea. Monte Carvoeiro, on the opposite side, represents the highest and most luxurious coastal area of the town of Carvoeiro.

Algar Seco Carvoeiro Portugal Beach Caves and Cliffjumping in the Algarve
We started out this year's summer vacation with some cliff jumping and cave exploring at Algar Seco in Carvoeiro, Portugal - along that beautiful and exciting Algarve coast.
On a tip we received in a comment on a previous video, we heard there was some pretty good cliffjumping at Algar Seco, so we headed out. Sure enough, it was crowded with cliffjumpers and there were plenty of heights to choose from.
As an added bonus, there were plenty of caves to explore, reachable by swimming from the cliff jump landing spot or by taking the steps down the backside from dry land.
Either way, it was an exciting day - everyone around there was having a great time, even with the skies somewhat hazy from the nearby Monchique fires that burned for days.
There are plenty of great beaches in the Carvoeiro area, check out the video library for the Paraiso Beach trip, and it's always full of tourists in the summer time. Algar Seco also has a nice cliff walk, but we didn't do it on this day, as we wanted to head off to the beach after checking out the caves and cliffs.

Carvoeiro, Portugal Praia de Albandeira, Best Beaches of the Algarve Portugal
Albandeira Beach - certainly one of the hidden beach gems of the Algarve. Often overshadowed by the nearby Benagil and Marinha beaches, Albandeira beach is just as spectacular in its own right.
The beach is separated by a cave-tunnel, which you walk through to reveal a stunning arch carved into the cliffside by thousands of years of erosion. There are plenty of private beaches to explore, and this little cove is a perfect representation of everything the Algarve has to offer.
The tide was in and the water was just a bit chilly, but there was plenty of good life to enjoy. Great swimming atmosphere, a swim through the awesome arch and another swim out to even more hidden beaches. Located just near Lagoa Portugal, it's always a delightful experience here at Albandeira.
And of course we enjoyed it at one of Portugal's best beaches.
Albandeira is on the strip of fine beaches in Lagoa, not too far Carvoeiro- voted as one of Europe's top vacation and retirement destinations.

BEST BEACH IN CARVOEIRO PORTUGAL & Benagil Cave Tour from Carvoeiro Portugal Algarve
In today's video I show you guys one of the best beach in Carvoeiro Portugal. This was rated as one of Europe's best beaches a few years back, and you can definitely tell because it was packed! I love dthis beach a lot more then I did the beach in Lagos, the sand was better though still filled with shells, but the water was so much nicer and extremely clear, it was absolutely beautiful. From praia do carvoeiro we booked a boat cave tour to see a whole bunch of caves including the most popular cave, the Benagil Cave in Portugal Algarve. I also flew my drone my dji mavic pro to show you the beautiful beach of Carvoeiro, so stay tuned and watch to find out more!
