Manila Travel Guide: Casa Manila and the Plaza San Luis Complex Intramuros Manila Philippines
In this video we will take you to Casa Manila and the Plaza San Luis Complex in Intramros Manila. These are some of the places I would recommend for you to visit in Manila.
Casa Manila is a museum inside intramuros that depicts the Spanish colonial past in the Philippines. It is located right in front of the San Agustin Church on the corner of Real and General Luna Sts. The road in front of it is paved with cobblestone to the depict the original roads back in the day.
Coming in inside the Casa Manila we were welcomed with a set of huge wooden doors. These doors are opened to allow carriages to enter through it. beyond it is a corridor leading to the open patio. in the middle of the open patio is a fountain and The floors are paved with granite stones.
We did not go inside the actual museum because we honored their policy of not allowing videos. So we just explored and marveled at the architecture from the outside.
While exploring the corridors of the Casa Manila I end up right in front of the White knight hotel Intramuros. Apparently the Casa Manila's corridors are connected to the Plaza San Luis Complex' up to this hotel.
It was lunch time and we got hungry. So we decided to grab a bite. Inside the corridors of the Plaza San Luis Complex is the Barbara's Cafe. The cafe sits on a corner of the property. We ordered the all day breakfast, Tapsilog. All this exploring made me hungry.
Right at the Plaza San Luis Complex is the Barbara's restaurant. They serve Lunch and dinner buffet. They also cater weddings and other events. This restaurant is very close to me and my wife's heart because this is where we had our wedding reception. The food as I remember it was great. I haven't got the chance to eat recently here. aside from the Tapsilog I had earlier but you know what I mean. I might try out their lunch buffet some other time soon.

Barbara's Casa Manila is a restaurant located inside the old walls of Intramuros Manila. The architecture of the place itself is of spanish - filipino design. It serves buffet and a cultural dance presentation. Here is a video of my experience inside Barbara's with the cultural dance showcasing Philippine folk dances and the famous tinikling (bamboo dance and national dance of the country)

How To Get There
By Bus
Take a bus to Calatagan at Buendia via DLTB Bus Terminal. Fare price is PHP 180 per head with approximately 3-4 hours travel time. With daily trips from 4AM- 3PM. Alight at Calatagan Market, grab a tricycle going to Casa Antonio Glamping at Bagong Silang Parola right after Casa Victoria. A tricycle ride roughly costs PHP 200.
For San Agustin and DLTB Bus Nasugbu/Lian route, drop off at Lian Market then take the jeepney/bus/tricycle going to Calatagan Public Market.
Jeepney ride is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, available until 4PM ONLY. Special trips going to Calatagn via Tricycle is a bit steep costing about PHP 800.
COMMUTE BY VAN RECOMMENDED
There are vans available going to Calatagan near the KABAYAN HOTEL MRT Taft Station. Fare is
Php200.00/pax. Travel time is approximately 3 hours. Last drop would be At Calatagan Market, there hire a tricycle
and tell them to bring you to Casa Antonio, Parola, Calatagan, that's after Casa Victorina Resort besides Coko Haven Resort.
First Trip - 3:30 AM
Last trip - 7:00 PM
Going Back
Last Bus trip back to Manila is at 4pm.
You can just take a shuttle/van from Calatagan to Tagaytay.
Ask your trike driver to take you to the van terminal.
Then from Tagaytay to Manila.

CASA MANILA MUSEUM | DISCOVERING INTRAMUROS MANILA
Casa Manila Museum portrays the lifestyle of the educated and elite class during the 17th and 18th Centurt, inspired by Spanish colonial architecture. It was a peoject of former first lady, Imelda Marcos in 1980.
The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 9am to 6pm with an entrance fee of PHP 75.00 per pax.
