Entry into this dramatic house brings an instant of happiness and intrigue, as there are so many features and colors to feast your eyes upon. The great room is warm and inviting and looks across an inner garden to a separate casita.
The kitchen has recently been completely remodeled with granite countertops, cabinetry in cherry red with Euro-hardware, all roll-out shelving, and new appliances. The dining room features an Italian chandelier over a round table which can accommodate eight for dinner.
Up the stairwell, a stained glass panel provides discrete privacy as you ascend up a barrel boveda ceiling. The master bedroom and guest bedroom lead off each side of this stairwell, and both bedrooms open onto the first terraza. The master bedroom/bath have also been recently remodeled, and are graced with marble countertops and a walk in shower, all with stainless fixtures. A corner fireplace was recently installed in the bedroom. The guest bedroom is in talavera tile with hanging glass shower doors, and new fixtures.
The casita contains a Jacuzzi tub with a hand painted tile mural and overlooks a small separate garden. The kitchen area has no cooktop, but if a microwave and mini-refrigerator were added, guests would be quite comfortable. Although this casita has a queen bed and hanging nightstands, it is large enough to accommodate a king size bed.
The second terraza has lots of space for gardening, while the third terraza, the Sunset Terrace, a great place to gather with guests, provides a 360 degree view of San Miguel, Malanquin Golf Course, the Los Picachos Mountains and the Presa Allende Lake. Three sides of the roof over the Sunset Terrace are glassed in and the roof contains the solar panels which provide solar energy for the entire property. Also included is a complete water filtration and soft water system
