The second century Tarragona Amphitheatre near the seashore was extensively used as a quarry after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and but few vestiges of it now remain. A circus c. 450 metres (1,480 ft) long, was built over in the area now called Plaça de la Font, though portions of it are still to be traced.
Les Ferreres Aqueduct, which spans a valley about 4 kilometres (2 miles) north of the city. It is 217 m (712 ft) in length, and the loftiest arches, of which there are two tiers, are 26 m (85 ft) high. There is a monument about 6 km (4 mi) along the coast road east of the city, commonly called the Tower of the Scipios

Visita a la Festa del Mercat de Amposta y reserva natural Delta del Ebro

Amposta se sitúa en pelno Parque Natural del Delta del Ebro, declarado reserva de la biosfera por la UNESCO. Parada obligada para aficionados a la ornitología y los amantes de la naturaleza.
La gran oferta de actividades ofrecen al visitante multitud de experiencias: desde paseos en bicicleta o en barca de perxar a deportes como kitesurf, vela o motos acuáticas.
Una visita a un molino de arroz nos descubre todo el proceso de una planta maravillosa d ela que se aprovecha todo.
En Sant Carles de la Ràpita, en plena Bahía dels Alfacs, la empresa familiar Musclarium te lleva hasta el lugar mismo del cultivo de ostras y mejillones para poder saborearlos recien sacados del mar acompañafos de un buen vino de la zona.
La gastronomía es otro de los grandes atractivos del Delta del Ebro. La unión de productos del mar con arroces y verduras ha creado una cocina tradicional, de kilómetro cero que ha conservado numerosas variedades de guisos y paellas.

There is a monument about 6 km (4 mi) along the coast road east of the city, commonly called the Tower of the Scipios; but there is no authority for assuming that they were buried here.

Each year around September 23 and for 10 days, the inhabitants of Tarragona adorn their city to celebrate the most important festival of Tarragona territories are the Fiestas de Santa Tecla. Cada año, el 24 de septiembre se celebra la Baixada dels Pilars desde la Catedral de Tarragona hasta el Ayuntamiento. Antes de los pilars, las 4 collas castelleras de la ciudad hacen una pequeña exhibición de castells, que es lo que se muestra en este vídeo.
Santa Tecla es la patrona de la ciudad, y las fiestas están declaradas Fiestas de interés turístico nacional por el Gobierno de España y Fiesta tradicional de interés nacional por la Generalitat de Cataluña.
