Eagle Falls Waterfall - Emerald Bay South Lake Tahoe CA Northern California - Hidden/Cascade Falls
Eagle Falls waterfall is located around Emerald Bay in South Lake Tahoe CA (Placer County, Northern California) in the high elevation of Sierra Nevada mountains. Eagle Falls waterfall is a beautiful cascade falls that is quite a hidden falls as you cannot really see such waterfalls driving from the road (Hwy/Highway 89) going towards Emerald Bay State Park at Highway 89. The waterfalls is located in the lake side of Highway 89 with hiking trails to get to the falls. Another viewing option is to go to Emerald Bay State Park view point (the waterfall is on the right side), you can see the front view of Eagle Falls waterfall from a distance. Northern California - USA travel and tourism. Great US road trip destination/stop.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Eagle Falls waterfall in the angle that this video was filmed/taken was viewed from a rough/rugged terrain in the mountain side with steep incline and drop off. This hiking trail location is NOT suitable for everyone. It is a very rocky and uneven terrain with deep drop-off and cliffs. Location is NOT suitable for young children and other ages. As noted above, same falls can be viewed from afar from Emerald Bay State Park area.

Lake Tahoe: Cascade Falls Hike
Long overdue video. This was from the trip we did in September, one of the many hikes we did. This one had spectacular views. When we were there though, the whole LT basin was filled with smoke from the Rim Fire, but that did not keep us from hiking.

Susie Lake Falls is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the Lake Tahoe area, dropping about 150 ft. on the outlet stream of Susie Lake on its way down to Grass Lake. But I wonder just how many people each year hike right by Susie Lake without even realizing there is an incredible waterfall just below the lake? Almost all of them, I imagine.

EAGLE FALLS Lake Tahoe Hike—What You Need to Know [Tahoe Life Ep 10]
Today Ted and I hike to both Upper and Lower Eagle Falls, a short, easy, Lake Tahoe hike that almost anyone can do. I explain the parking situation, show you the trailhead and get some lovely waterfall shots with views of Emerald Bay along the way.

Rubicon Hiking Trail in South Lake Tahoe + What to See in Emerald Bay
Rubicon Hiking Trail in South Lake Tahoe + What to see in Emerald Bay
The Rubicon Trail is one of my favorite trails in all of Lake Tahoe. The 4.6 mile trail (10 if you don't shuttle) goes through two state parks and along the water for pretty much the entire time. It is a beautiful area to explore and one that you want to take your time with. When you make it to Emerald Bay, plan to spend some time relaxing on the beach or visiting Eagle Falls, Fanette Island or Vikingsholm. I left some tips for each at the end of this video.

Lake Tahoe Vacation Travel Guide
Lake Tahoe Vacation Travel Guide
Filled with over 39 trillion gallons of pure Sierra snowmelt and pushed a mile into the Californian and Nevada skies, Lake Tahoe is the USA’s largest alpine lake and one of the country’s oldest, year-round vacation playgrounds.
Lake Tahoe has forever drawn travellers to its shores, from the Native Americans who call this place Big Water, to the trappers, timber cutters and pioneers who followed.
When you’re ready for a little alpine magic, take the four-hour drive from San Francisco to the sunlit shores of Kings Beach. Set on Tahoe’s northern end, this beach was named after local card shark, Joe King, who used his winnings to develop some of the lake’s earliest lodgings. On the lake’s southern shore, is Pope Beach, where you’ll find another Tahoe institution, Camp Richardson.
From Pope Beach follow the bike path to the Taylor Creek Visitor Center. An open-air classroom for the entire family, the center features fabulous interpretative walks such as the Rainbow Trail.
Nearby, at DL Bliss State Park, follow the spectacular Rubicon Trail into neighboring Emerald Bay State Park. This park is home to the Eagle Falls Trail, a moderate two-mile hike that takes in some of the Sierra high country’s finest views.
When the ponderosa pines bend with the season’s first snow, Tahoe transforms into the nation’s favorite winter playground. Whether you’re looking for snow-capped peaks or crystal clear coves, places to bond with loved ones or pockets of pure solitude, The Lake in the Sky has it all.

Lake Tahoe's Hike From Emerald Bay to Cascade Falls!
Lake Tahoe's Hike From Emerald Bay to Cascade Falls. We hiked to Cascade Falls starting from Highway 89!
Cascade Lake & Falls, Lake Tahoe
The surface of the lake is so smooth it practically creates a perfect mirror image. This is a very rare occurrence. The result is the lake and surrounding mountains all seem suspended in mid-air, creating a notably surreal effect.
We also go close up to Cascade Falls, an iconic Tahoe sight... in all their glory with the spring melt.
Is it worthy of calling 'fine' art? 'Fine' is the goal... so you let me know. ~LTG
Cave Rock Trail in Lake Tahoe, NV 4K
This was our hike at the Cave Rock Trail in Lake Tahoe,Nevada. It wasn't a far hike. The only hard part for me was climbing the rock. It's worth it though. Once you get up to the top. The view of Lake Tahoe and it surroundings was breathtaking.

South Lake Tahoe Eagle Falls Hike
April 22, 2019 we hiked out out to lower and upper Eagle Falls then out to Eagle Lake. The entire hike was in the snow but totally doable as most of it was easy terrain. This offers absolutely amazing views and when you get to the lake you will be amazed at how gorgeous it is sitting in the middle of these amazing rock cliffs. The hike is a short hike so even people he rarely hike can manage this!
