Woman in Black at Cast, Doncaster - Mon 8 to Sat 13 May
Join the 7m theatregoers worldwide who have experienced 'The most brilliantly effective spine-chiller you will ever encounter' Daily Telegraph.
Susan Hill’s acclaimed ghost story comes dramatically alive in Stephen Mallatratt’s ingenious stage adaptation. This gripping production, directed by Robin Herford, is a brilliantly successful study in atmosphere, illusion and controlled horror.
A lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a Woman in Black, engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul. It all begins innocently enough, but then, as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds.
Mon 8 May-Sat 13 May
Invincible - Wed 8 to Fri 10 Feb at Cast, Doncaster
With the recession biting hard, Emily and Oliver have decided to downsize and shift their middle-class London lifestyle to a small town in the north of England.
One night they open their doors and invite next door neighbours, Dawn and Alan into their home.
Over the course of a disastrous evening of olives, anchovies, Karl Marx and abstract art; class and culture collide where the consequences are as tragic as they are hilarious.
From one of the most exciting playwrights to emerge since Alan Ayckbourn, Torben Betts, and produced by the award-winning Original Theatre Company (Birdsong, Three Men In A Boat), comes this ‘riotously funny’ production.

Crooners - Fri 23 Jun at Cast, Doncaster
This modern world does not always seem the place for men of style and vigour. Men with a penchant for sentiment, romance and charm. Men who own tap shoes.
Crooners follows the story of three very British gentlemen who, by their very nature, exhume the characteristics of a crooner; suave, self-assured, stylish, as they defend the role of a crooner in our modern world. By the very same nature, it is not always obvious that these characteristics are adopted quite so well by the quintessentially British. Cue a splendiferous injection of British comedy. Tongue firmly in cheek. And an Outrageous injection of Big Band Swing.
Featuring the outstanding and uncompromising live, on stage musicianship of the 9-piece band ‘The Mini Big Band’, these Crooners feature songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Matt Monro, Nat King Cole and Bobby Darin. Expect some Lady is a Tramp, Come Fly With Me, L.O.V.E, When You’re Smiling, Fly Me To The Moon, Beyond The Sea, Mac The Knife any many more…

Welcome to Britain
Once upon a time in a land not that far away there existed happiness and freedom. Then a regime of persecution, taxation and control came along. And the country was cast into eternal darkness and despair. The end? I bloody hope not.

Getting Better Slowly - National Theatre Tour
Adam Pownall woke up to find his body was slowly shutting down. Unable to walk, talk or blink and nobody knew why…
When Guillain Barré Syndrome affected Adam it caused full paralysis within days. Getting Better Slowly tells the story of his illness through a creative collision of new writing, verbatim accounts, sound and movement. How does it feel when your closest relationship is with the illness that’s holding you back? Adam’s frank and moving account of how he dealt with GBS and the two years he spent recovering – including months spent learning how to walk and talk again – explores the relationship we all have with our bodies and our health. Telling his story with warmth, humour and honesty, and explaining how GBS is still part of his life, he invites audiences to consider how they would deal with an unexpected illness or accident affecting them or someone they love.
