Framlingham Castle in Suffolk
Framlingham Castle in Suffolk is a 12th century construction. Three families owned it, falling in and out of favour with the Monarch of the time. It has 13 towers, and has 13m high walls, each is 2.5m thick.
Interesting place to visit. It was cold when I went Feb 3rd 2018 but that meant it was peaceful at least.
Music is Greensleeves.

Detectorists TV Series Film Locations in Framlingham
Some of the 'Detectorists' TV Series Film Locations. This series is about the characters who go metal detecting, with their metal detectors in the hope of finding buried treasures. They also want to discover the treasures in life too.
Here you will see that many of the locations are within spitting distance of each other. The pub exterior (The Castle Inn), DMDC club house (next door), Lance's House (occupied), the coffee shop (Lemon Tree across the road), and the spiritual shop too (in Framlingham Market). About 11 minutes drive away was the pub interior (The Crown Inn).
Please respect people's privacy when visiting, and ask permission if you can to film (in some cases there was nobody around to ask). I asked and chatted to the people in both pubs The Crown Inn, and the Castle Inn (the Two Brewers in the series). The White Horse is being converted to dwellings. I chatted to people in the shop (Crystal Enigma in the series), and the Lemon Tree coffee shop too. Nice people willing to share some of their recollections.
I found most of these locations due to other videos on YouTube and I will therefore give credit to this one:
This one too:
Just found after my video this useful map of even more:
But there are other videos too I suspect, and other locations that I did not visit. Although I did visit the local Co-op and after realised it was in the series too. At Orford there is another pub called The King's Head Inn but I never went there. White horse is being converted to dwellings but is in Fram. College and Sch are nearby too.
Whilst here I also spent time going to Framlingham Castle which is a magnificent 12th century example, and the Saxon burial site at Sutton Hoo just about 20 minutes or so away by car.

Framlingham is a market town and civil parish in Suffolk, England. Of Anglo-Saxon origin, it is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It had a population of 3,342 at the 2011 Census. Nearby villages include Earl Soham, Kettleburgh, Parham, Saxtead and Sweffling.
The medieval Framlingham Castle is a major feature. The town is also home to the comprehensive secondary school Thomas Mills High School, the independent school Framlingham College, the Church of St Michael the Archangel and Framlingham Town F.C..
The town has the two oldest functioning Post Office pillar boxes in the UK, dating from 1856, located on Double Street and College Road respectively. It is also home to one of the smallest houses in Britain, known as the Check House.
Converted into a two-storey residence of almost 29 square metres, the former bookmakers office is in the Mauldens Mill Estate in the town centre. The ground floor measures 20 feet (6.1 m) by 7 feet 3 inches (2.21 m). In 2006, Country Life magazine voted Framlingham the number one place to live in the country. Framlingham has a conservation area.
The Framlingham Branch line connected Framlingham with the main Ipswich to Lowestoft railway at Wickham Market. The railway station building stands adjacent to the Station Hotel. The line was closed to passenger traffic in the 1950s and to goods in the 1960s. The nearest railway stations today are Wickham Market and Saxmundham, both on the East Suffolk Line. The town is at the junction of the B1116, B1119 and B1120 roads.

Framlingham Castle, Suffolk - Dji Mavic Pro drone - Skydronauts
Framlingham Castle is a castle in the market town of Framlingham in Suffolk in England. An early motte and bailey or ringwork Norman castle was built on the Framlingham site by 1148, but this was destroyed by Henry II of England in the aftermath of the revolt of 1173-4. Its replacement, constructed by Roger Bigod, the Earl of Norfolk, was unusual for the time in having no central keep, but instead using a curtain wall with thirteen mural towers to defend the centre of the castle. Despite this, the castle was successfully taken by King John in 1216 after a short siege. By the end of the 13th century, Framlingham had become a luxurious home, surrounded by extensive parkland used for hunting.
