Snow in Castle Rock WA, 12-30-2012
A snow storm came though, and I decided to get photos. I set up the time lapse a little late into the storm, but caught some neat sights. My favorite is the branch on the right side. You can see it droop under the weight of the snow building up on it, and then raise up when some of it melts off. I hope you enjoy it.

20 Bandicoot Drive, Albany, WA - Nicci Daniele
67 Ulster Road, Yakamia Creek, Albany Western Australia
Those that live on Yakamia Creek understand the pure joy of living close to town yet living somewhere that feels totally rural. Enjoy the space and bird life, put up a big shed, grow some fruit trees, have chooks, let the kids/grandkids play and enjoy the north facing, sunny back yard all year round. Life as it should be!
This 3,104 m2 property runs from the road side all the way to the Creek and has endless potential for a savvy buyer.
It is within walking distance of most amenities such as schools, hospitals and shops and only a short drive/walk into town.
Enter from the front door into a large open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area with a fireplace, wooden floors and high ceilings. Down the corridor to the right is a smaller bedroom/study and a bathroom right opposite with a shower and basin.
Further down the corridor is bedroom 2 with BIC, and at the end of the hallway there's a very big main bedroom with a massive bathroom and walk in robe. The black and white modern bathroom has a large raised spa bath with a shower over it, a basin and a toilet. A deep walk in robe is at the carpeted entrance with plenty of space for him and her.
Near the back door is a laundry area and a convenient separate water closet for guests.
The wooden back patio catches beautiful sunlight in winter, yet still pleasant in summer due to the fact that it is semi enclosed with large windows overlooking the back yard. Great for entertainment or sundowners or just laze there on a quiet afternoon.
There is a handy double garage/shed in the back yard near the house.
The home is Hardie plank clad with a newish colour bond roof, has roof and floor insulation, is on Bio-tech sewerage and has bottled gas.
A few small renovations would make a huge difference. Polish the wooden floor boards and update the kitchen cupboard doors and it will be fantastic!
These little points were considered in pricing the property, so phone Jess today to view this great buy! You will be delighted…

Penfolds Kalimna Bin 28 shiraz 2012
Love this wine. It was a superb vintage and the result is a wine from multiple vineyard areas displaying excellent fruit density and richness. Loaded with juicy dark plums and red berry fruits. Has a meaty and slightly game character with ripe supple tannins. Delicious chocolate and slightly earthy savour flavours. It will handle short to medium term cellaring.

Penfolds Grange 2010
In some ways this is the most distinctive and individual of any Grange I have tasted. Seamless, integrated and with everything just where it should be. Extraordinary depth of colour which is black to the core. The impact of 100 per cent American oak is evident but almost understated. With every sip – and I had a few – there is something new in the multi-layered complexity. Deep concentration of sweet and spicy coffee and black pudding fruit with a hint of olive tapenade. Chalky ripe tannins are a feature. Focused and long. The palate is dense and concentrated but with a lightness of touch – a description I would never normally use with Grange. A truly exceptional statement of this great wine.
