Looking for information on how to get to Cat Ba, Vietnam? We made it to Cat Ba by motorbike and getting to Cat Ba island was as actually pretty easy. After completing the 2.5 hour ride from Hanoi to Cat Ba, we had to give you guys our Cat Ba first impressions. It is such a peaceful island and there are plenty of things to do on Cat Ba. We took our motorcycle all over Cat Ba's beautiful terrain and share with you our first impressions and the best things to do in Cat Ba.

We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Many of you guys might have heard about Ha Long Bay but did you know there is a hidden Gem within Ha Long Bay. There is one island along Halong Bay which serve great Seafood, have wonderful views and scenery and also has a beach along the Island.
Welcome to Cat Ba Island, located along the southeastern edge of Lan Ha Bay in Northern Vietnam. Cat Ba Island is the largest island in the Bay and half of the area is covered by national Parks. So if you are a nature lover the island is just the place for you.
We got here through Sliver Sea - 4 Star Cruise and transfer to a smaller boat to fetch us to Cat Ba Island while we stay there there for a night. We tried to explore as much as we can, like going to a Seafood Market, strolling down a beach, drinking at a local Bar, having a massage and many more.

Cat Ba Island Vietnam
Cat Ba Island Vietnam - Cat Ba is the biggest island in the Bay and roughly half of its location is covered by a National Park, which is the home of the extremely jeopardized Cat Ba langur. This golden-headed langur is hardly ever seen, as less than 60 specimens are believed to endure in the wild, although it is the topic of a well-organised preservation programme; the Cat Ba Langur Preservation Program, a worldwide NGO that has its workplace at the National Park Head Quarters. The Park covers both land and aquatic locations and has a high biodiversity, although it is at danger from too quick a boost in tourist. Other mammals in the Park consist of civet felines and asian huge squirrels. Beyond Cat Ba town is a gorgeous island with much to check out.

Cat Ba Island Bus Transfer (Halong Bay, Vietnam)
We are off to Cat Ba Island!! Cat Ba Island is located aside of Halong and Lan Ha Bay! This area is known for the stunning and iconic floating limestone islands! We decided to hop on a bus with a one way ticket to check out this area! We weren't sure how many days we wanted to stay here and we ended up extending our time here as well!
In this video, we film the logistics of getting from Hanoi, Vietnam to Cat Ba Island. This trip required two bus rides and a ferry ride to get tho this small town. We used the company Good Morning Cat Ba and purchased our tickets on 12 Go Asia! Enjoy the ride!

Our day started out with a ferry ride to Cat Ba island from Hai Phong, Vietnam. Once we arrived, we walked to a beach a short distance away. After a few hours, we rented a motorbike and headed towards Cat Ba's National Park.
