Les Plotosus lineatus del'île aux Chats à Rodrigues
Le poisson-chat rayé se trouve le plus souvent en banc, jusqu'à une centaine d'individus, évoluant avec un bel ensemble fluide ou fouillant le sable à l'aide de leurs 4 paires de barbillons, à la recherche de vers, crustacés ou mollusques. La taille maximale de ce poisson marin tropical est d'une trentaine de cm. Plutôt farouches, ils se cachent dans les anfractuosités ou sous le corail et disposent de rayons venimeux dont la piqure peut s'avérer fatale. Ceux-ci ont spontanément quitté la cavité dans laquelle ils s'abritaient pour m'adopter. Un moment magique et inoubliable pour moi !
