Rimutaka Forest Park
This is a fabulous Wellington Walk and one of my favourite walking areas in the Wellington region. The McKerrow Loop walk in the Rimutaka Forest Park starts and finishes in Wainuiomata.
This is a full day walk and recommended for the fit tramper. It's also a very good 2-day tramp. There are a number of huts in the Orongorongo Valley to choose from. For more information check-out our Whakanui to Catchpool walk
