The Cateran Trail - Day 2 (Upper Lunch Hut to Dalnaglar Castle)
Second part of my adventure on The Cateran Trail. It was Easter day 2018 and beautiful day for a walk. I started at Upper Lunch Hut with intention to reach Glenisla but because of the injury I was forced to finish my walk much earlier than expected.
Fortunately for me it appeared to be just muscular issue and nothing was broken. I just had to rest for a week. Lesson learned and next time I'll remember to start season in more gentle way.
I will be back on the trail to finish the walk.
I hope you'll enjoy the video.

SnowRoads: The Cateran Trail | 90 Miles of Spectacular Walking | The Cateran Trail
One of Scotland’s Great Trails, the Cateran Trail is a fully waymarked, 64-mile / 103 km route through Perthshire and the Angus glens in the heart of Scotland.
The Trail is a circular route divided into five stages and can be comfortably walked in five days. The Trail has no official beginning or end and can be joined at any stage.
It follows old drove roads and ancient tracks across a varied terrain of farmland, forests and moors. Some of these routes follow the same ones used by the Caterans – fearsome cattle thieves who raided Strathardle, Glenshee and Glen Isla from the Middle Ages to the 17th century and for whom the Trail is named.
Discover the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
Explore the 90 miles of the SnowRoads to discover wild landscapes and uncover the tales and hidden treasures of this untouched area.
“Mystical scenery, historical attractions and cosy places to warm up along the way. In short, it’s a place to dream.”
Discover dramatic landscapes, carved by granite and ice, as the SnowRoads wind from the picturesque market town of Blairgowrie through to the highland village of Grantown-on-Spey. Enjoy something new at every turn as you traverse the highest public roads in Britain and spot a curious glimpse of snow on the hill tops almost all year round.

2018 Cateran Yomp
54 (or even 56, according to my GPS) miles is an assault on the body, no matter how fit you are. Nevertheless, the Cateran Yomp is a superbly organised event for a very good cause.
I’m off home for a bath, but roll on next year!

Winter Road Trip Drive To Spittal Of Glenshee Perthshire Scotland
Tour Scotland Winter travel video of a road trip drive North on the A93 road, with Scottish music, to visit Spittal of Glenshee, in the highlands of Eastern Perthshire, where the confluence of many small streams flowing south out of the Grampians form the Shee Water. Known as the glen of the fairies it takes its name from the Gaelic shith meaning fairy. The village provides a stopping place on the Cateran Trail waymarked long distance walking footpath which provides a 64 mile circuit in the glens of Perthshire and Angus. The A93 is a major road in Scotland and the highest public road in the United Kingdom. It runs north from Perth through Blairgowrie and Rattray, then through the Grampian Mountains by way of Glenshee, the Cairnwell Pass and Glen Clunie to Braemar in Aberdeenshire.
