Cathedral Wash Canyon Best Arizona Trail to Colorado River Beautiful Hike
Cathedral Wash Trail is a 4.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Marble Canyon, Arizona that features a river and is rated as difficult.
Cathedral Wash is a prime example of the powerful and relentless forces of nature that has shaped the Grand Canyon and Colorado River basin.
From the trail-head near the Navajo bridge, the trail splits to either the lower drainage course towards the Colorado River, or the upper coarse towards a ridge of soaring cliffs.
Taking either route, you will soon enter another world, where the topography is re-sculptured by each heavy rain.
The upper drainage course trail ends at sheer cliffs in about two miles. The lower route starts off easy, but requires rock climbing skills after about one mile.
To really understand and appreciate the awesome forces that has shaped this part of the world, this hike must not be missed.

My name's Roxy, and I'm a free spirit who truly struggles with living in one place. I've been like that my whole life. Society can try to force us into living a certain way, but we're not all cut from the same cloth (thankfully), and being 'stuck' in one place for years or a lifetime, is impossible for some of us to embrace. That's why I live in a van. I love to see different wildlife, new horizons, meet new people, and experience new things. I photograph, write, and share on my blog and my webpage, TranquilLightPhotography.com/ Please visit, share, and sign up.
Canyoneering Soap Creek, Marble Canyon, Arizona
Descending four miles to the Colorado River, Soap Creek is a fantastic canyon. Though not technical in the general terms of canyoneering this did offer quite a bit of downclimbing, third class scrambling and even an optional rappel. The first two miles have the obstacles. After the final obstacle, you have two miles of fairly straightforward hiking to the river and that tends to be somewhat meandering. Scenery is fantastic and it makes for a great day adventure in the Marble Canyon area.

Cathedral Wash Hike - Belly Crawling
Cathedral Wash hike. This is a very beautiful, but dangerous hike. You are walking along rock ledges that are narrow, and having to climb up and down rock cliffs. People do make it to the Colorado River, but we decided it wasn't worth the risk as things got very dangerous and we had already pushed ourselves past our comfort zone of safety.

Canyoneering Badger Creek- Solo, Marble Canyon, Arizona (Part 2)
I return and make it to the end of Badger Creek which empties into the Colorado River, Grand Canyon. This took me five hours to complete, almost one hour of that was spent dealing with the ascent of the final rappel. WARNING: The final rappel is about 25ft in height but it has an overhanging lip. I got stuck at the overhang and spent over half an hour trying to get over the lip, it was exhausting and at one point I thought I might not be able to get the ascender over.
