Seido's history
Seido Cultural Center was founded in October 1959 as a university residence attached to Seido Juku, a language school that later evolved into the present Seido Language Institute.
In 1971 Seido Cultural Center was incorporated into a new educational organization named Seido Foundation for the Advancement of Education, recognized as a non-profit organization by the Government of Hyogo Prefecture.
Seido's present director is Mr. Francisco Martin (Professor of Spanish Language of Kyoto University, Doshisha University and Professor of Spanish Culture and History of St. Thomas University).

Spiritual guidance is entrusted to Opus Dei, a Personal Prelature of the Catholic Church. Spiritual activities such as seminars on Christian faith and prayer are only offered for those who freely wish to attend them.

1. イエスについて実際には何が分かっているのですか。
イエス・キリストについては、同時代の大部分の人物よりも遥かに多くの確かな情報があります。イエス・キリストの生涯とその死去の証人たちが伝えた資料、すなわちイエスに関する口頭の伝承と文書、中でも四福音書です。イエス・キリストが設立し、今なお存続する信仰共同体の中で伝達されてきたものです。その共同体こそ、歴史を通してイエスに従った無数の人々、最初の弟子たちが絶え間なく述べ伝えた資料を通してイエスを知った人々からなる教会です。偽(ぎ)福音書や聖書以外の文書に記述されていることがらには、忠実に教会の中で伝えられてきた福音書の正典に新たな資料を加えるものはありません。
啓蒙主義の時代までは、イエスについて知りうることは福音書に書かれてあると誰もが信じていました。しかし、福音書は信仰の観点から書かれた書であるという理由で、その内容の客観性に疑問を投げかける歴史家が19世紀になって出てきました。この人たちによると、福音書の著述はイエスの行動と言葉ではなく、イエス復活後数年を経てから主に従う人たちが信じたことであるというのです。それ以後、20世紀の半ばまで、福音書の真実性を疑問視する傾向が現れ、ついにはイエスについては「ほとんど何も知ることができない」（ブルトマン）と主張するに至りました。

Our aim
Since 1959 Seido has been a catalyst for students from different universities of the Hanshin area (mainly Osaka and Kobe) who want to make full use of their academic years.
Its aim is to provide young students an adequate atmosphere and a solid human formation, so they can develop their cultural and academic potentials, being solidly prepared for their future social and professional lives.
International character
As an international residence, Seido is open to students from Japan and all over the world, so that during their youth they can develop by themselves a capacity for mutual understanding, as well as respect for other people and cultures. Residents are expected to cooperate actively to maintain this atmosphere, exercising their liberty and personal responsibility, important habits for their future life.
Seido also has a multilingual staff (Japanese, English, Spanish and Portuguese).

私たちの目指すもの
１９５９年の発足以来、セイドー文化センターは、阪神地域の大学生が、学生生活を充実したものとするための手助けに努めてきました。
当学生会館は、学生たちが自分の教養を高め、学問的能力を培うことができるよう、それに適した環境や人間形成を提供します。卒業後に立派な社会人となる準備をすることが、私たちの目標です。
インターナショナルな環境
学生たちが互いを理解し、異文化や他人を尊重する精神を持つために、セイドー文化センターは国際学生会館として、日本人のみならず、世界各国出身の学生を受け入れています。各寮生は、各自が自由と責任をもって、このインターナショナルな雰囲気を保つことによって、将来まことの国際人となることができるでしょう。
スタッフは日本語、英語、スペイン語、ポルトガル語に対応できます。
セイドーの沿革
セイドー文化センターは、旧精道塾（現、セイドー外国語学院・外国語研究所）の附属学生寮として、１９５９年１０月に設立されました。
１９７１年にセイドー文化センターは、兵庫県に登録されている財団法人・精道教育促進協会に統合されました。
現責任者はフランシスコ・マルティンで、京都大学、同志社大学、聖トマス大学でスペイン語の講師をしています。

Nagaland builds Asia's largest church at Zunheboto town - Nagaland News
Zunheboto, Nagaland [India] April 24th (ANI): Nagaland has added yet another feature to its cap by producing one of the largest churches in the Asian continent. Located in the heart of Zunheboto town in the landlocked state of Nagaland, the new Sumi Baptist church was inaugurated on 22nd April, 2017 by Rev. Dr. Solomon Rongpi, general secretary of the Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India, at an impressive function held inside the Church building.
