Discovering Cavenagh Bridge
This is a research project on urban environment as a playground for artistic experimentation. Singapore Cavenagh Bridge will be taken as the research object, as it is one of the oldest bridges and the only suspension bridge in Singapore. It serves as pedestrian crossing between the CBD (Central Business District) and the commercial and entertainment side of City Hall. All the research findings and results had been documentated into this book called - Discovenring Cavenagh Bridge. We had observed the frequency of people using the Cavenagh Bridge during different time of the day and a calculation was also conducted for the human flow during the different timing to ensure a detail breakdown. We did a study on the historical background of the bridge and the relationship between the surrounding environments. The objective of this project is to explore the urban lifestyle and address sensed encounters.
