Cedar Creek Falls- Endless Oceans, Queensland, Australia
Cedar Creek Falls is located about halfway between Airlie Beach and Proserpine on Saltwater Creek Road. The falls are at their most spectacular after rains when the waterfall is flowing at its peak.
Cedar Creek Falls is a beautiful swimming hole that can be found half way between Airlie Beach and Proserpine on Conway road. It's a great place to cool off and have a picnic on a hot summers day. For your own safety jumping and diving from the waterfall is strictly prohibited.

AUSTRALIA: Cedar Creek Falls & Lamington National Park
Finally posting some more videos after a much too long hiatus!
Cedar Creek Falls in Mt. Tamborine is beautiful! It was a bit tricky to find, but worth the trip. It wasn't too busy, although we went on a Monday, so maybe it's busier on the weekends. Either way, just goes to show how beautiful and diverse Australia (especially Queensland) is.
Lamington National Park. We originally drove up to find the heart shaped rock pool (Killarney Glen), but were sadly disappointed once we found out that it was closed for the foreseeable future, due to an unfortunate accident. Here's a blog post so you can see what I'm talking about:
So we had to think on our feet, and luckily I had a list of things to do in Southern Queensland on my phone, so we decided to head up to Lamington National Park to do a little hike. We got there and grabbed some lunch at the cute cafe, which was good timing, because it started to rain - hard. We waited until the rain stopped, and then made our journey outside. However, we were stopped by the kind lady in the cafe who warned us about the leeches that come out after rain.
SURVIVAL TIP: Always carry salt on you, because it repels the leeches. (Hence why we're pouring salt on our legs in the end video).
She also told us about a visitor who got a leech in their eye - THEIR EYE!!! It was almost enough to put us off from the whole experience, but we decided to suck it up and go and explore nature, even if it was a little rainy, and a little leech infested.
We only had time for one of the smaller hikes, so I'll try and go back another day for a full day hike. Alas, it was still lovely and enjoyable. In fact, it was a little chilly. We may or may not have gotten lost on the way back, slipped on the mud and fallen on our butts, and had leeches sucking on our legs...
It was still a good time with a beautiful view. Of course, videos never do it justice, but I do what I can!
Also! Like I stated in my Update video, I lost a ton of footage, including some from this hike. Some of that included Farren thinking a leech fell on her, and so she proceeded to take almost all her clothes off, just as some poor older man was exiting the trail. Tragic that I lost that video, honestly.
It was still a good time all in all. THANKS FOR WATCHING FRIENDS. :)

Cedar Creek Gold Coast 2019
Quick trip to Cedar Creek for a swim. This is a must do if your visiting the Gold Coast!
Cedar Creek Falls - Dry Season
One of the best things to do in Airlie Beach is Cedar Creek Falls, just 25 minutes from Airlie Beach and 15 minutes from Proserpine. The turn off is onto Conway Road halfway between Airlie and Proserpine on Shute Harbor Road between. This video was taken in the dry season in September 2019. We will do another in the wet season when it is flowing.
My wife and I have lived in the Whitsundays for over 18 years, our kids are born and bred locals :). We have discovered so many great things to do during our time here, and want to share them with you.
We are not a production team, we have a GoPro and try to give you the information you need on each topic instead of an edited commercial video. I hope this video helps you discover all the significant areas of Airlie Beach.
See all our Things To Do In Airlie Beach on our website below, you will also find Whitsundays Deals of up to 50% of activities in the region.
unkn0wn - Cedar Creek Falls.
Located approximately 20 kilometres from Proserpine on Saltwater Creek Road, off Conway Beach Road is the picturesque Cedar Creek Falls. These waterfalls are spectacular in the wet season and offer a year-round natural swimming pool at the base of the falls. They are set in a natural rock amphitheatre. The flora and fauna will amaze you, particularly the strangler figs, red and white cedars and wild orchids. There are also bush walks up and around the falls. Majestic Alexandra Palms line the creek as it continues its journey to the ocean.
Please note that jumping or diving off the waterfall is dangerous and strictly prohibited.

Experience Whitsunday Island Australia
Whitsunday Island is the largest island in the Whitsunday group of islands located off the coast of Central Queensland, Australia.
The island is accessible by boat from the mainland tourist ports of Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. It contains many popular destinations for both day visitors and overnight sailors, including the magnificent pure-white sands of Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, the secure anchorage of Cid Harbour, and the sheltered waterway of Gulnare Inlet. The island has six campgrounds.
Named by Captain James Cook in early June 1770, the island covers 275.08 km2 in area. Around the northern bays of the island are seagrass beds which support a diverse range of marine life. Unadorned rock-wallabies are found on the island.
The seas here are warm, clear, shallow, nutrient rich and fast moving due to large tidal flows making them well-suited to the growth of fringing coral reefs.

Abandoned: Laguna Quays Resort
Always been fascinated with abandoned places. Wandering through and wondering what it was like and what happened. For the first time at this place I know the answers to those questions. As 20 something years ago I worked here. Lived down the road with most of the other staff members of this golf resort.
It failed due to several reasons. The big one was investing in construction of a failed airstrip on site. Then being left unmaintained for sometime and being hit with cyclones over the years.
Shame really. I understand that there is interest in restoring the property. Several other Island resorts are currently being brought back from the brink.
