Golden Ears Provincial Park - RV Life back in British Columbia
Camping at Golden Ears Provincial Park, and hiking to Gold Creek Falls. This is one of British Columbia's BIGGEST camping areas! RV Life back in British Columbia means a whole lot more camping. Enjoy the RV Vlog!
Hello and welcome back! It's another rainy one as we settle in for two nights camping at one of BC's most known camping spots, Golden Ears Park. We wanted to get out of the city after the RV show and what better way than a throwback to where we first camped with our Class C RV after the USA border denial vlog last year. Happier times this time! Haha.
This campground has many different little locations around, but for nearing off season we had access to the Gold Creek Campground. They don't provide RV hookup options, and it was a pretty expensive stay for not having them but at least it's beautiful. The old cedar forests made for such a cool feel being completely engulfed in trees. We even busted out the RV barbeque and got to enjoy cooking outside. We haven't don't that enough in these RV travels, but hopefully more to come while camping BC now. Cat also loved the site and exploring around the cedars and all the forest vegetation she wasn't used to.
The campground has lots of hiking trails options, and we chose to do the one to Gold Creek Falls. It was an easy level hike and made for a great outing to enjoy the Pacific coast forests. Very humid and wet out of course! The waterfall was an alright waterfall but the whole trip was still an awesome reason to get out. When we were back at the RV later after the hike Alysha was making dinner and raccoons were checking out our Class C RV too haha. They were so mischievous looking, and ran away when I yelled at them which I found hilarious. The next morning we checked out and just went to the Aloutte Lake day use spot to enjoy the nice weather and beautiful Golden Ears area more. We even found some funny Canadian Loons, haha.
Being back to RV BC is going to mean a whole lot more awesome campsites coming up everyone! BC is known for its awesome recreation, and free a lot of the time campsites. Barnes lake we just enjoyed after Golden Ears was so nice and quiet. I love the Midwest vibes out that way. British Columbia can be so diverse as you will soon see!
Thanks again and until next time friends, take care.
Luke and Alysha

This is the first video episode in a short series documenting my solo canoe trip of the Serpentine Loop in Kawartha Highlands. Although this canoe trip can be completed in a day or two, I took four days to go out and explore this area of Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park.
This was the first time visiting Kawartha Highlands, a provincial park located north of Toronto, in Ontario Canada.
Kawartha Highlands is the largest provincial park south of Algonquin Park and offers a unique backcountry camping experience.
In this video I paddle from Anstruther Lake to Rathbun Lake. Along the way I catch a glimpse of a Heron and a Beaver, and also traverse one portage that divides the two lakes.
Once on Rathbun Lake, I set up my temporary camp where I spend the night before moving on and continuing the canoe trip. At the end of the evening there was an incredible sunset.
I hope you enjoy this wilderness canoe camping (trip-report style) video of my solo canoe trip of the Serpentine Loop in Kawartha Highlands Wilderness Park.
If you do, please give it the thumbs up and leave a comment.
Thanks - Jason

The Sunbeam loop a 4 day solo canoe trip in Algonquin Park
This video is of a solo canoe trip I did in Algonquin Park Ontario Canada in Sept. 2019.
The Sunbeam Loop is a 3-4 day trip for most people and would be consider an entry level loop. Its about 40 KM in lengths with 11 portages. You start the loop at probably the busiest access point in the park (Canoe Lake #5) but quickly move away from the crows and by day 2 you will be away from the crows. As a matter of fact I did get the luxury on this trip of not seeing anyone for 24 hours on my 2 day. Love it!
This loop will take you past the location of the cabin were the iconic Candida painter Tom Thomson's used to spend time at.
For good details on the route check out . Please note I have no association with this outfitter but they seem pretty good.
Thanks for watching the video and please tell me what you think.

Rock Point to Turkey Point - Rural Ontario Bike Tour - Day 3 of 9
This video summarizes day 3 of my 9 day solo bicycle trip through South-Western Ontario, Canada. All of the clips in the video were filmed on Monday, May 21, 2018.
Starting at Rock Point Provincial Park, I packed up my campsite and headed towards Dunnville, ON. After a brief stop for breakfast in Dunnville, I crossed the Grand River and continued west along the Lake Erie coast. I headed inland when reached Erie St and passed through the small community of Selkirk. From there I continued north and turned west onto Concession 2 Walpole which took me through the community of Cheapside, and also past the Esso Nanticoke Oil Refinery. I turned and headed south again when I reached the Nanticoke Industrial Park, which is home to the U. S. Steel Canada Lake Erie Works (Stelco Lake Erie Works) steel mill. From there I continued along the coastal road into the community of Port Dover where I explored around and stopped for lunch. After that I continued west through Port Ryerse, Fishers Glen, and Normandale before reaching Turkey Point Provincial Park, which was my campground for the night. I also explored down to the community of Turkey Point to see the beach and to eat some dinner.
Strava for Day 3:
The bike I used for this trip is a New York made Linear Recumbent Bike which I believe is from around 2004. I carried my gear in 2 Giant Waterproof Panniers, and mounted my tent and sleeping pad on the top of the rack.
I hope you enjoyed this video. Please COMMENT and subscribe!

Falls Reserve Conservation Area Campground Driving Tour (August 9, 2018)
A driving tour of the three main camping areas inside Falls Reserve Conservation Area. If you were planning or thinking about camping at this park for the first time, this will give you excellent insight into what the sites are like. The park is under the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority.
Falls Reserve is located along the Maitland River near the hamlet of Benmiller, Ontario and just a short drive from Goderich and Lake Huron. The park encompasses 230 acres with the Maitland Falls being the main feature for swimming and fishing.
The three main camping areas are Maple Campground, Cedar Campground and Sycamore Campground. Maple and Cedar have recently changed names from Mennesetung and Chippewa. Maple and Sycamore have full serviced sites while Cedar is unserviced and more suitable for tenting.
For anglers, the Maitland River has trout, salmon, smallmouth bass, carp, sucker and chub. Near the entrance, there is a stocked pond that is refilled each year with rainbow trout and largemouth bass.

Real Dads Camping Trip at Earl Rowe Provincial Park
Real Dad's Camping Trip at Earl Rowe Park in Alliston, On wih Andrew this weekend A huge thank you to this incredible ministry that made it possible to go camping for an entire weekend at an amazing campground for only $24. A true blessing indeed. Plus our tent was only $25 on kijiji, purchased before the summer began. Andrew and I had so much fun together, made many friends with other Dads and their kids, and created many long lasting memories that both of us will cgerish for the rest of our lives. Hopefully we can return next year with Calum Ruxton and Charis Ruxton too.
Sorry the video is 16 mins long but its well worth the watch as it encompasses so much. I highly recommend Earl Rowe Provincial Park to everyone.. it has amazing facilities and amenties. There is so much to do there.
