A Walk in Cedarburg, Wisconsin Jan. 9. 2014
Trying out my new camera video.
Covered Bridges And Mills In Cedarburg 2018
Cedarburg Wisconsin, what a great place to visit. The place is friendly and has a great hospitality. Lots of gift shops and great places to eat. In the summer months they have a lot of festivities. I know they have a giant craft fair. So if you are looking for a beautiful place to spend a weekend, this would be one of many choices in Wisconsin. What drew me here, was to see the covered bridge, and the five story mill. I'm into mills. I love taking pictures of old mills. And I guess I just like historical buildings in general. So come along for the walk with us, in this great Cedarburg Wisconsin. And by the way, the covered bridge is only just up the road out of Cedarburg by about 1 mile. Hope you enjoy the video. Please subscribe, and click on the thumbs up, that will help get my videos out to more people. Thanks so much, and God bless all of you.Link
The Great Cedarburg, WI Disapointment
Who would have thought that one of the Reader's Digest, Top 10 Towns with the Most Christmas Spirit would be so dead 3 days before Christmas? Our fault really for not looking at the schedule of events calendar on line. All their celebrating takes place Dec 1st thru the 15th. Well, now we know for next year.

Winter Oddity In Cedarburg WI - Wisconsin Garden Video Blog 746
See More Garden Goodies: - - - We learned about an unusual winter oddity in Cedarburg, WI last night on the evening news. Because of the warmer weather, snow melts, and river flood stage, one of the four dams created 20’ river foam build up above the ice surface. This is a rare foam event was larger than any in the past had ever seen. As long as we are filming in Cedarburg we thought we’d provide you with a quick tour of historic Cedarburg and Lynn’s childhood adventures. Cedarburg was founded in the early 1830’s by Irish and German immigrants establishing their homes and businesses around Cedar Creek.
This city has over 200 buildings currently on the historic register along with another 100 buildings on the outskirts of town. Only 20 miles north of Milwaukee, Cedarburg is powered by their locally owned utility company and features multiple festivals, cultural center, events, woolen mill, feed grain mill, Texaco’s iconic pagoda gas station, winery, specialty shops, family-owned restaurants, micro breweries, spas, churches, and award-winning schools.
This quaint town supports a population of approximately 11,500 and another 6,000 living in the surrounding area and offers one of the last free county fairs in the country. Despite this unusual winter oddity, this is a city worth adding to your Bucket List when visiting Wisconsin anytime of the year.
Cedarburg Strawberry Festival 2016 - the Art of the Party
Cedarburg, in southeastern Wisconsin has perfected the art of the party. When a small town is about as pleasing as can be, what else can it do? Why, make sure everyone notices, of course.
In 1972, an old Yankee mill town just north of Milwaukee started a Wine & Harvest Festival. Two years later, it started Winter Festival. Eight years after that, it started Strawberry Festival. And people poured into Cedarburg by the thousands.
It's charming and quaint and sweet and walkable, and when you throw a festival on top of that, it makes it very irresistible to a lot of people, says Kristine Hage, director of the chamber of commerce.
All about strawberries.
Craving an art-filled weekend brimming with the most luscious summer fruit? Cedarburg’s Annual Strawberry Festival is a free, family-oriented festival. The festival a favorite of many, drawing up to 100,000 people annually to toast the bold and delicious fruit in all its forms, and enjoy some of the most decadent homegrown strawberries in the area.
On the Saturday morning of Strawberry Festival, white tents have sprouted up and down Washington Avenue. By 10 a.m., Amy's Candy Kitchen was packed with people ogling fat caramel apples covered with pecans, cashews, white chocolate and M&Ms.
Outside the meat market, people stood in line to buy freshly grilled strawberry brats. “All That Pizzazz” was packed with shoppers looking at tile birdhouses, hand-painted martini glasses and beaded purse pins that read, I came, I saw, I bought.
At Cedar Creek Settlement, the winery was filled with people buying bottles of Strawberry Blush, Settlement Gold and Waterfall Riesling. Upstairs, a shopper walked narrow hallways past shops displaying pottery, paintings, and vintage wear and antiques.

Around the Corner with John McGivern | Program | Rhinelander (#411)
[Latest Airdate: August 30, 2018]
[Original Airdate: April 2, 2015]
If you know what a Hodag is, you’re from Rhinelander. John is not, so he went on a weeklong hunting trip looking for a live one. No luck finding a real Hodag, but tons of luck finding great people and creating some cherished memories.
Wait until you see John drive the big rig at Ponsse North America. He won’t be forgetting that anytime soon! Nor will he forget how amazed he was to see those massive paper rolls at Expera Specialty Solutions, and to discover LiveAquaria (who knew?) at Doctors Foster and Smith, or how yummy it was to eat the fruits of his labor at Joe’s Pasty Shop. He might recall the many opportunities presented to him to catch fish, but what he’ll really remember is just skipping right to the eating of the fish at The Rhinelander Pub & Café. We tried really hard to get John to play snowshoe baseball, but he didn’t want a broken ankle to remind him that it’s not a great idea to run in snowshoes unless you’ve practiced!
Before we brought John to Rhinelander, he had never even heard of a Hodag. Next we’re looking for a community whose mascot is a Snipe...

SB can stand for Sturgeon Bay the city, or Sturgeon Bay the body of water. If you ask John what “SB” stands for and he’ll say Super Busy! In the city of Sturgeon Bay, we nearly lost John to the many freelance opportunities he found. He loves WDOR, the local radio station, and could work at Third Avenue Playhouse tomorrow. He tried glass-blowing at Popelka Trenchard Glass and also visited Blue Front, Country Ovens, Scaturo’s, Holiday Music Motel and Snug Harbor. (5 of 13)

Around the Corner with John McGivern | Program | Delafield (#806)
[Original Airdate: February 7, 2019]
Delafield and smiles just go together. Yes, there’s a literal, giant smile on a barn to welcome you as you exit I-94 onto Hwy 83. But we found that the smiles we enjoyed most were the ones we shared with people like Bob Lang, Tom at Naga-waukee golf course, Pipe Major Donaldson at St. John’s Northwestern Military Academy, and Ramona and Mark at Seven Seas. Smiles are always in abundance in charming, colonial-style downtown Delafield, and especially for us at the Barn Owl and Daybreak Prime Meats & Deli. Just south of I-94 we found our good moods bolstered at Lapham Peak and at Arcon Mfg. & Lake Country Candies (candy raisins make everyone smile, right?). By the time we left Randy at Ten Chimneys, our faces hurt– in a good way! Delafield is definitely a happy place!
