A little drone peek at the Philadelphia Belle and Celebration Belle dinner cruise boats on the Mississippi River. You usually see the boats from the street side but thanks to drones you can see them from the river's side; a drone's point of view.
Footloose Punk Club on 23rd Avenue in Moline, Illinois - 1987 Permanent Damage Show
Moline's 23rd Avenue was the cruising strip and Footloose was a punk club that opened in a former Sir George's Buffet that had a medieval flair. This is some old footage from a show of the local band Permanent Damage.
Footloose would have skate jams in the parking lot with ramps set up and people jumping cars on their skateboards during the daylight hours. In the evening the punk bands would play. All the while cruisers drove by and would sometimes cruise through the parking lot to marvel at the punk rock action. Those were some good times in Moline in the 1980's!
There are a couple of groups that you may want to join to reminisce about the good old days. The first is where the 80's punk rockers from the Quad Cities get together these days and the second is the 23rd Avenue Moline nostalgia group:

Quad Cities
Experience the performing arts, visual arts, culture, and heritage. Experience it all and discover one of the Mississippi River's best kept secrets. Where going for a ride means going on a river boat or floating taxi, where celebrations are mandatory throughout the year, where letting loose is part of the fun, a place where a toast to friends is always in order, where history tells a story, where the arts flow like the river, where a stroll through the park can turn into a ride on the river, a place where you can take in a game or play one, and where family time is encouraged. This is a place to explore.
The secret is out. Come discover the Quad Cities on the mighty Mississippi River. You'll be glad you did.
The Quad Cities rests on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River and share a population of 400,000. The region is made up of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa; Moline/East Moline and Rock Island in Illinois; and surrounding communities.
