I was lucky enough to get behind-the-scenes to see what it takes to produce and build one of the biggest pyrotechnic shows in the world.

Annual Summer musical fireworks competition in Vancouver, Celebration of Light, is recognized as the longest running off-shore fireworks competitions in the world!
3 Countries participate every year and 1 Country becomes a winner. Each country gets a day out of a week where they can participate and show off their fireworks and has an estimated running time of 25 minutes.
This year 2019,

Celebration of Light 는 세계에서 가장 오랜 지속시간을 자랑하는 바닷속 불꽃 축제로 알려져 있어요
매년 3개국이 참가하여 경쟁을 하고 1개 팀이 우승을 하게 됩니다.
참고로 작년엔 한국 팀이 우승!
3개의 팀은 약 일주일간 각각 다른 날에 진행하며, 25분 정도의 러닝타임을 가집니다.

Walt Disney Parks and Recreation was the pyro team representing Team USA at the 2016 Celebration of Light was . The theme of their show was Disney Music Extravaganza.
2016 was the 26th anniversary of the Celebration of Light. It is an international contest and the longest running offshore fireworks competition in the world.
Three countries compete each year at Vancouver during the last week of July. Each show uses between 3,000 and 4,000 fireworks that are synchronized to music and launched from massive barges floating in English Bay in downtown Vancouver.
Each night of the Celebration of Light, up to half a million spectators gather at beautiful Sunset Beach and in boats in English Bay.
The firework competitions are part of Vancouver's Sunset Beach Festival.
