I'm On My Way - Dean Parrish
Northern soul reached the peak of its popularity in the mid to late 1970s. At the time, there were soul clubs in virtually every major town in the midlands and the north of England. Northern soul venues included The Catacombs in Wolverhampton, Va Va's in Bolton, the 'Talk of The North' all-nighters at The Pier and Winter Gardens in Cleethorpes, Tiffany's in Coalville in the Midlands, Samantha's in Sheffield. There were however three venues regarded as the most important in the decade, these were the Golden Torch in Tunstall, Stoke, Blackpool Mecca and Casino in Wigan. I'm On My Way by Dean Parrish was considered as one of the three 3 before 8 records that would be played before the closing of the clubs after the long night of dancing, . A great sound put to scooters riding around London.
CR - Yorkshire Lessons pt3 - Basic Greetings
In part 3 of Yorkshire lessons I cover basic greetings and related lingo. There are many ways to say hello, but these examples should be sufficient. I could go deeper into it but I don't think it's really needed.
All comments and related video responses are welcome.
The background music is by A.J. Henderson and is called Bujuloop. I have full permission to use this track. If you like Bujuloop or would like to hear a clearer version without me talking over it, you can find it over at A.J. Henderson's soundcloud page, along with other pieces of music also composed by A.J. Henderson.
