Grand Cayman via Cruise - Cemetery Beach, Public Bus & Cruise Ship Sail Away (4K)
Georgetown of the Grand Cayman islands is a popular stop for cruise ships on Western Caribbean routes. We were there recently in July 2018 aboard the Holland America ms Veendam as part of a 14 Day Cuba cruise round trip Boston. We wanted to go for a DIY excursion. Cemetery Beach is lauded as one of the best beaches nearby the Cruise Terminal, so we wanted to check it out.
Apparently it was easy to access via a Grand Cayman bus, which actually looks like a van, and performs as a mainstay of the island's public transportation. If you look at Google Maps, it will be at the location called The Public Transit Bus Depot next to Heroes Square. The bus stop is about a 5 minute walk from the North Terminal. There was a bus already waiting there, and it took about 20 minutes to reach Cemetery Beach, with the bus driver making a couple of stops. The cost was only about $2.50 per person, so definitely much more economical than taking a private taxi.
At the end of the video we show a bonus footage of our cruise ship sailing away from Grand Cayman onto the next port. Enjoy and please feel free to ask questions or post a comment!

It is NOT recommended to snorkel here unless you are a good swimmer. Too many people underestimate the risks of snorkeling, and you shouldn't attempt this unless you are physically fit.
There is a wide variety of coral and fish in this location, and is a must do activity for snorkeling enthusiasts visiting the Cayman Islands. Cemetery Reef is a unique area on the North end of Seven Mile Beach, near West Bay. There is lots of parking and it is a safe area for families and tourists.

Cemetery Reef Snorkeling | Grand Cayman
North of Georgetown at the north end of Seven Mile Beach, the snorkelling at Cemetery Beach Reef is known for its seclusion, especially relative to the other dive sites around the island. The beach is particularly scenic with its huge Australian pines. Straight out from the beach access pathway, you’ll see three large orange buoys in a row leading away from the shore. The main reef formation is at the third buoy about 300 feet offshore in 10 foot deep water. This patchy reef has scattered coral heads of average health that have plenty of reef fish and occasional resting nurse sharks or sea turtles. This POV video of snorkeling Cemetery Reef off Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands was produced by SNORKELINGDIVES.COM in April 2018.

Eden Rock Snorkeling Grand Cayman | Snorkel Video Guide & Review
Our video shows us snorkeling at Eden Rock in George Town Grand Cayman! This is a popular snorkel spot in the Cayman Islands. You do not need a boat to reach this location, and can enter the water from the shore.
This is a very safe area since there are other people around. Snorkeling can become dangerous if you are by yourself and you get into trouble, but this is in a public location.
You will see many tarpon here since nearby restaurants feed them in the evenings. Other fish include tangs, sergeant majors and jacks.
