Main Street of Pantai Cenang, Langkawi
The main street in Pantai Cenang is where most of the tourist infrastructure is located as well as lots of guesthouses, hotels, restaurants and travel agents. Most of the cheaper guesthouses are located on the side away from the beach but you can find plenty of rooms on the beach side for a reasonable amount depending on when you go. Pretty much everywhere is an easy walk.

Pantai Cenang is a haven for tourist shopping at the entire beach road is lined with shops and stalls on both sides. These shops sell mostly souvenirs in the form of fashion accessories, beads, handicrafts and merchandise but there are also many convenience stores.
On the other hand, you can visit the night market that takes place in nearby Temoyong on Thursdays or the Zon Duty-Free Shopping Complex in Underwater World Langkawi.

Cenang Beach Langkawi/ Cenang Walk (2019)
The kids just finish cleaning themself after beach time and so we are heading to find dinner. While walking at the street, we are so lucky to witness a beautiful and gorgeous dusk clouds on top of Cenang Mall. The struggle is real to find dinner but we still blessed with that awesome view of the day. We end up bought some buns, chocolate and milk to bring to the hotel.

Walk: Pantai Cenang Night Market Street Food on Thursday
Join me as I explore Pantai Cenang night market or also known as Temonyong night market which is held every Thursdays evening. Located about 20mins from the heart of Pantai Cenang, this night market is bursting with local street food and delicacies to tease your tastebuds.
As you spend walking around the entire night market, you will find a lot of affordable and tasty local street food and some of my favorites are ayam percik, satay and refreshing mango juice. Do note to come early around 7pm as some stalls may be sold out by 9pm.
Try not to drive here as parking can be a challenge especially with the jam considering the road is quite narrow. Just order a Grab taxi or even walk over.
Last but not least, for those of you with small children, do not bring along your stroller as the ground is very uneven as you can see from the video and more so if it rained that day at Pantai Cenang.

#Langkawi, officially known as Langkawi the Jewel of Kedah (Malay: Langkawi Permata Kedah), is a district and an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern #Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. On 15 July 2008, Sultan Abdul Halim of Kedah had consented to the change of name to Langkawi Permata Kedah in conjunction with his Golden Jubilee Celebration. By far the largest of the islands is the eponymous Langkawi Island with a population of some 64,792, the only other inhabited island being nearby Tuba Island. Langkawi is also an administrative district with the town of Kuah as largest town. Langkawi is a duty-free island.
There are two main island areas: the Southern Islands, with a heavier tourist population and the islands to the north east which are more secluded with little tourist traffic. Langun Island has a fresh-water lake like Pregnant Maiden Lake only without the tourists and has Sand Spit Beach on its south-facing orientation. Dendang Island next to it forms a bay used by Langkawi sailing yacht tour operators.
Some of the most popular beaches are #Pantai #Cenang, Pantai Tengah, Burau Bay, Pantai Kok, and Datai Bay. Pantai Cenang beach has long stretches of fine white sand. It has a number of restaurants and bars for evening entertainment, several hosting live music and for watching the sun set.The beach is lined with tall coconut and casuarina trees. Pantai Tengah is separated from Cenang by a small cape. It also faces the setting sun and has hotels than bars, making it less busy in the evening.Burau Bay, fringed by rocky outcrops, is visited by migratory birds. Pantai Kok quiet beach has a backdrop of limestone hills. Datai Bay has a combination of forests and sea, its white sandy beach is backed by forest.

Stay: Cenang Plaza Beach Hotel, Langkawi
Cenang Plaza Beach Hotel is located on Cenang Street and the popular bustling sandy beach of Pantai Cenang, Langkawi. In my opinion, this quaint hotel is perfectly located and in the centre of everything you would need from food to shopping to the beach and even the airport which is only 10minutes away by car.
I know reviews found online may state some negative points in regards to their cleanliness and noise but I feel they have rectified the cleanliness part although I don't think Cenang Plaza Beach Hotel can do much about the noise since it is smack in the middle of all the action.
The check-in process was very quick and the front desk staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Very knowledgable to offer tips of staying at Pantai Cenang if you need them. Most importantly, Cenang Mall is right opposite so you can easily do duty free shopping or have a cup of coffee at Starbucks or easily order a ride with Grab car there or as a drop off point too.
