Riviera Maya Excursion: Tulum - Cenote Sac Actun - Akumal
This excellent combination of archaeology, a cenote and the swimming with turtles , is an ideal half day tour, without needing to go long distances and have the chance of visiting this three wonders from the Riviera Maya.
Cenote Santa Cruz
We had a great time at our private tour of Cenote Santa Cruz. The girls were a bit apprehensive (check out their face before the climbed down the ladder) but were completely amazed when were down in the Cenote.
Akumal Villas: Cenote Report and beer Delivery!
Akumal Villas Reporter Rhett Schober lives large as beer is delivered to him and his guests hanging out in the main cenote at Rancho Santa Cruz!
AKUMAL TURTLES & FRESH WATER CENOTE
We visited Akumal beach in the Riviera Maya to meet and swim with wild turtles. On the way back we headed to a cenote (a fresh water rock pool) and had a natural, wild fish pedicure! Both were amazing experiences. Unfortunately we have no footage of the actual turtles as we broke our waterproof camera!

Cenote Sac Actun
Sac Actun is one of the most beautiful and impressive cenotes of the peninsula, with incredible geological formations. It is the ideal place for nature lovers.
An easy way to discover this beauty is by taking our snorkeling tour. You can admire the caves filled with stalagmites, stalactites and other capricious forms that nature offers us.

CENOTE PUEBLO FANTASMA
El cenote Pueblo Fantasma se encuentra en la comisaría de X-Catzín, en Chemax.
3 Cenotes Adventure
3 Mayan Cenotes, each cenote has different activities to offer as they are very different from each other.
You will visit Cenote Sta. Cruz, a closed or cavern cenote. Here you will be guided throught a beautiful laberynth of geological formations created by the water. Water noises and light reflections are there to enhace the beauty of the cave and stimulate your senses. As the guide shows the way to the deepest part of the cave you will feel the emotion of discovering a hidden treasure. Once you reach the deepest part of the cenote, you can swim and relax, jump from the platform or even hang from a swinging rope and dive into the water.
The Grand Cenote is a semi open cenote, here you can snorkel and explore some small caves. The water here is beautiful, cool and crystal clear. Minimal swimming skill needed. Fish, turtles, bats and even a peackock live here. As you explore this beautiful cenote you will be amazed by the natural beauty this cenote helds.
Swiming at the Cenote Azul, an open cenote, is a great experience. You’ve never seen water so clear and pristine. There are also caves in the water and a cliff where you can jump off from like less than 20ft high. This is a magnificent place to just slowly drift and see the fishes and its like seeing an underwater garden.
A great plus is here are tons of small fish that gently bite the dead skin off your body (no need to go to a fish spa!).
Every cenote has platforms and stairs in the water for easy entering and exiting, the grounds surrounding the cenotes have paths. Restrooms, changing rooms and showers are available for visitors.
