This Centennial Botanical Conservatory is a fascinating place to visit. Exotic flowers, trees, shrubs and other plants from around the world are featured in a year-round tropical setting. The conservatory was constructed in 1967 as a centennial project which was to be left as a legacy to the community and citizens of Thunder Bay.
Tours can be arranged for schools, seniors or any other groups or organizations who wish to view the Conservatory. Weddings or wedding pictures may be booked for a fee by calling the Conservatory.

Alright, here's the thing with Sleeping Giant Provincial Park - from a distance, it looks uniquely beautiful. Hiking it is an experience that will leave both exhausted and awe-inspired.
From a distance, the park looks like a man lying down on his back.
Located east of Thunder Bay, Canada, the park itself features over 100 km of hiking trails, over 200 bird species, wildlife viewing and loads of boreal forest. Not to mention spectacular views of Lake Superior and the surrounding area.

The main central room is for tropical plants, the west wing is for arid plants and the east wing for seasonal flower shows. Banana trees, palm trees and cacti are just a few of the stars of the conservatory. Its address is 1601 Dease Street.

Morning walk along the Cascades Conservation Area - Part 1
Cascades Conservation Area is accessible from Balsam Street. This 162 ha Conservation Area in the north part of the city is linked to Centennial Park by a series of trails. It is a fine place for a quiet walk on a summer's evening. The landscape features a series of cascades in the river set against numerous rock outcrops and a primarily birch and poplar forest.
