Blue Mountains Walks: Centennial Glen and Porter's Pass Blackheath NSW Australia
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE!
My body found this outing a bit tough but I'm glad to have done it. This video is one of a series in which I set out to show the various Blue Mountains walks a 71 year old can do. I'm now 73 and found this walk harder than I expected.
Route: Bundarra St into Centennial Glen, across Collier's Causeway to Porter's Pass. Return via Burton, Wombat and Station Streets to your starting point.
This is a walk that takes you down past a series of small waterfalls before passing beneath the sandstone cliffs for over a kilometre, coming up to the plateau again through another gorge.
It is a popular place for rock climbers, especially at the Centennial Glen end, and I passed several groups testing themselves against the rocky walls.
Allow 3-4 hours for this circuit walk.

Centennial Glen Stables
Dominique's surprise was a horse riding experience at Centennial Glen Stables, Blackheath. She just loved it. Of course she renamed the Dani the horse to Chica Landa from Sprit Riding Free.
Big thanks to Pauline, her horse handler!

The road from the stables is a mix of surfaces and is a great drive up the valley.

Megalong Valley, Blue Mountains, New South Wales
The Megalong Valley is simply magic and although primarily a farming community it offers great adventure for visitors to the valley.
Only 2 hours from Sydney, the Megalong Valley is an ideal escape from the rest of the world, especially for those who wish to experience the Australian bush land, enjoy horse riding adventures, enjoy a picnic with some great wine and find accommodation to suit any desire.
