Centennial Park, Sarnia, Ontario
Beautiful Sunday afternoon walk September 16th, through Centennial Park along Sarnia Bay. Beautiful view of St. Clair river, the boats and wildlife while overlooking Port Huron Michigan Shores and the wildlife. Great sunny day with my sweetie.

Sarnia Lambton History Rocks - 1967 Sarnia Centennial Summer Of Love 01 Waterfront
1967 The Summer of Love Sarnia/Point Edward style. The highway view is looking east at the Indian Rd overpass from Hwy 7/22. I remember my mother crossing the highway at Guthrie and Hagle just as this car is doing, straight across the two lane highway through to Exmouth St to go shopping at the Northgate. She was very careful about it. It was eventually fenced off and much later a giant wall was constructed. The next view is looking west at the old hood at Guthrie towards the Colborne Rd underpass. It was the year the Centennial Bridge was built over the highway on Murphy Rd.
50 500 Sarnians enjoying the river under the Blue Water Bridge boating sailing or watching from the shore towards Lake Huron. There's the lighthouse tower great for diving and water skiing and swimming at the north slip and bay. From the newly opened Centenial Park are scenes of canoe trips full flying the new Canadian Maple Leaf and Centennial flag. The older generation preferred the traditional flag but the kids loved the new big red Maple Leaf. Most every where The Big 8 CKLW from Windsor blasted on transistor and car radios the sounds of the '60's. Parents felt the new style of clothing the girls wore was ok but not for the length and the same could be said for boys hair.
Film shots taken from the newly opened Centennial Park.
There are ocean going vessels in the harbor and the old Mac Craft building is there where the Harbor Front Hotel is today.
