2013 Australia Day Celebrations at Wagstaffe, Gosford & Woy Woy
Thousands of people from across the Local Government Area turned out to join the official Gosford City celebrations at Wagstaffe, Gosford Waterfront and Woy Woy this Australia Day. With activities ranging from raft racing, Aussie backyard games, musical performances, the ever popular lantern parade and fireworks, there were many reasons to come together to celebrate what's great about our community and our nation. Gosford City Citizen of the Year and Australia Day National Ambassador for 2013, gold medallist Liesl Tesch and Ambassador for the local community, Nada Potter proved to be crowd favourites, attending celebrations at all three locations.

Bus Drives Off Bridge After Fight Between Driver and Passenger in China
A bus crashed off a bridge in southwestern China, and police say a fight between the driver and a passenger is to blame. Surveillance video recovered from the wreckage shows the altercation, which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle. It crossed traffic, struck another car, and plummeted from the bridge into the river below. Police have recovered 13 bodies, and two people remain missing.
