Location: Altitude: ~ 1305 m ASL RX: RCD 510 VW Car radio
This video shows how some transmitters from Romania and Serbia are received in Vitoša mt. south of Sofia, Bulgaria on altitude of about 1305 meters ASL.
Serbian transmitter Tupižnica/147 km, transmitting on FM stations at 92,5-96,1-100,4 is with weaker signal and without RDS, while Romanian one, Resita-Semenic, coming from the same direction and transmitting on 102,5-105,6 is with excellent signal, and it is two times more remoted - 298 km. Even the Romanian signal on 105,6 fights with the local one - Star FM, coming from just .... 1100 meters and with 200 W! The Montenegrin signal/292 km on 92,1 also comes with RDS on this open for receptions from SW-W-NW location.
Some additional data for the two mentioned transmitters:
Serbia - Tupižnica: 1161 m ASL, 25 kW ERP Romania - Resita-Semenic: 1435 m ASL, 100 kW ERP
Additionally in this video I'm playing with the brand new PMR Walkie-Talkies Sencor SMR600 - maybe the only one in the local market with frequency displayed, not only the channel.
