2. Wide, pans to Bill Clinton holding guitar
3. Wide of fundraiser
4. SOUNDBITE: (English), Bill Clinton, Former US President
A couple of days ago, I asked Hillary what would you like me to do on your birthday? And I was thinking all sorts of, even in my age, romantic things... and she said well I want you to go to upstate New York and Long Island, you carried all those places when you ran for president...we can win some house seats, I wanna get my vote up, I expect you to be there. I did what I do these days: I saluted and said, Yes, ma'am. I executed the mission today.
5. Wide of Hillary speaking while Bill listens
6. SOUNDBITE: (English), Hillary Clinton, Senator, Democrat from New York
...for the past five years and many of them have been grievously injured as well. So if it's worth fighting for it certainly is worth voting for. And I hope there's a great outpouring across our country of people who say they've had enough, they're not going to put up with the arrogance and incompetence ... a particularly lethal combination, any longer.
7. Cutaway of Hillary and Bill Clinton
STORYLINE:
With former President Bill Clinton by her side, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton thanked more than 1,100 supporters for attending her birthday fundraising celebration on Thursday and said that with their help Democrats would rid Washington of the arrogance and incompetence of the Bush administration on election day next month.
I hope there's a great outpouring across our country of people who say they've had enough, they're not going to put up with the arrogance and incompetence ... a particularly lethal combination, any longer, she said.
Clinton, who turned 59, was feted at Central Park's famed Tavern on the Green restaurant.
The event ostensibly was aimed at raising additional funds for her Senate re-election campaign, but the money can be transferred to a presidential account if she chooses to run for the White House in 2008.
Clinton has faced only minor opposition from her Republican challenger, John Spencer, whom she didn't mention at the fundraiser. She already has pulled in nearly 50 (m) million US dollars for her re-election bid and had almost 16 (m) million US dollars on hand at the end of September.
Polls show Clinton leading Spencer, a former mayor of the New York City-area town of Yonkers, by about 30 percentage points. The election will be held on 7 November.
Clinton was introduced to the crowd of supporters, who paid 1,000 US dollars or more per ticket to attend, by her husband, who had spent the day, as he put it, schlepping around New York to campaign for Democratic candidates.
A couple of days ago I asked Hillary, 'What would you like me to do on your birthday?' Bill Clinton said. I was thinking of all sorts of, even at my age, semi-romantic things. She said, 'I want you to go to upstate New York and Long Island to campaign.' I did what I do these days: I saluted and said, 'Yes, ma'am.'

Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 31, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
A crucial vote is anticipated Jan. 31 on whether to call witnesses in the Trump impeachment trial, including former national security adviser John Bolton. In a manuscript of his new book, Bolton reportedly says that Trump directly tied the holdup of nearly $400 million in military assistance to Ukraine to investigations of the Bidens.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Former President Bill Clinton spoke Wednesday night at the Democratic National Convention, tackling many of the issues President Barack Obama has faced in his presidency and addressing Republican counterpoints.
President Obama's plan cuts the debt, honors our values, and brightens the future for our children, Our families and our nation. It's a heck out a lot better. It passes the arithmetic test - and far more important, it passes the values test.

Visitors had the opportunity to walk across the Wachusett Reservoir Dam in Clinton, take photos and ask rangers questions on Saturday afternoon, May 11, 2013. The last two years the state has opened Department of Conservation and Recreation opened the top of the dam to allow visitors to walk across it around Columbus Day weekend. Before that, it was closed to the public for years because of security concerns and potential threats to the water supply. This year, the DCR will start opening the top of the dam to visitors twice each year, in spring and in fall.
The Wachusett Reservoir in Boylston, Clinton, Holden, Hubbardston, Leominster, Princeton, Rutland, Sterling and West Boylston is part of the Nashua River Watershed. The dam in Clinton, completed in 1905, impounds the Nashua River, creating the Wachusett Reservoir. The reservoir is part of Greater Boston's water system, maintained and controlled by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. According to the DCR, it was the largest public water supply reservoir in the world when it was completed. At that time, the dam was the largest gravity dam in the world at 205 feet high and 965 feet long.
