Exploring Central Sikh Museum at GOLDEN TEMPLE, Amritsar, Punjab, India | Day 1|
The main ghanta ghar deori north entrance has a Sikh history museum on the first floor, according to the Sikh tradition. The display shows various paintings, of gurus and martyrs, many narrating the persecution of Sikhs over their history, as well as historical items such as swords, kartar, comb, chakkars. A new underground museum near the clock tower, but outside the temple courtyard also shows Sikh history. According to Louis E. Fenech, the display does not present the parallel traditions of Sikhism and is partly ahistorical such as a headless body continuing to fight, but a significant artwork and reflects the general trend in Sikhism of presenting their history to be one of persecution, martyrdoms and bravery in wars.
The main entrance to the Gurdwara has many memorial plaques that commemorate past Sikh historical events, saints and martyrs, contributions of Ranjit Singh, as well as commemorative inscriptions of all the Sikh soldiers who died fighting in the two World Wars and the various Indo-Pakistan wars.

Amritsar museum recounts tales of India's partition
The Indian subcontinent in August 1947 endured one of the world's largest mass migrations when about 15 million Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs swapped countries after Britain ended its colonial rule. To encapsulate the sufferings of that period, a Partition Museum was opened in Amritsar, a city in Punjab, which lies close to the border with Pakistan. The exhibits of the museum are showcased in the red-brick town hall building and include photographs, newspapers clippings and donated items from the locals, who weathered that period.

Amritsar vlog #1 / Golden temple / partition museum/ must visit place in India/travelocorn
Hey guys,
I'm finally done with my Amritsar vlog series part 1.
Amritsar was a not at all planned destination. It was an impulsive trip actually, so I had nothing planned, Infact I never planned of visiting a place apart from any mountain region lately because I'm q huge mountain person but ended up loving Amritsar so much.
This whole vlog is filled with confusion, ups and downs, distractions because that's what actually happens when you're travelling solo.
I enjoyed every bit of it, specially my way to Golden temple.
I hope you guys like it.
