Luxembourg City Promenade Walking Tour
Luxembourg City is an amazingly scenic city to do a walking tour, especially in Autumn. We did a self-guided walking tour along the City Promenade to take in the best panoramic views of the city and surrounds. What we discovered literally took our breath away. This city is INSANELY beautiful in Autumn, I did not expect it to be as gorgeous as what we found.
In this VLOG we do a comprehensive tour of the City Promenade, following one of the published guided tour leaflets we found in our hotel, the Hotel Central Molitor in Luxembourg City. Not only did this suggested walking tour show us the route to follow, but it also gave us some brief notes on each of the attractions. The brochure, published by the Luxembourg City Tourist Office, stated that it is a 2-hour walk of 4km. From our hotel, we ended up taking about 5 hours and walked 6km.

DESIGN CITY 2016
DESIGN IS (NOT) ART
27.04.2016 – 22.05.2016
The Design City biennial is intended to be a laboratory for ideas, a promotional tool and an experimental platform for the participation of designers in the development of the city.
“Design ≠ Art?” – the lead question of Design City 2016 – aims to challenge our perceptions and opinions of the world around us. The biennial’s title, design is (not) art, is intended to be ambiguous, thoughtprovoking and attract attention. In this hyper-connected world, is it even possible to differentiate design from art? Can something be both art and design? This area of uncertainty is precisely what this year’s biennial aims to explore.
In the spirit of ‘design thinking’ and transcultural exchange, Design City 2016 brings together designers with original and inventive ideas about the function and purpose of design. A range of exhibitions will highlight pioneering concepts, and will investigate the blurred lines between art and design, the power of urban design and its benefits for a city such as Luxembourg. From 27 April to 22 May 2016, the Design City biennial will stir emotions, pose resonant questions and provoke creative ideas, as well as offer many enriching discussions.
