In occasione delle Giornate FAI d’Autunno abbiamo potuto scoprire alcuni tesori della nostra città , Parma, che solitamente non sono aperti al pubblico.
La nostra visita parte da LA CERTOSA DI PARMA (La Chartreuse de Parme) nota anche come la certosa di San Girolamo.
Si tratta di un vero gioiello che poco ha da invidiare alle chiese più famose.
Potremmo definirla un po' come la chiesa delle cupole . Vi mostremo anche le tracce di tutte le diverse destinazioni d’uso avvenute durante i secoli.
Ci spostiamo poi in centro per visitare il TORRIONE VISCONTEO : è una vera e propria torre di vedetta che permette di vedere il centro della città , il Torrente Parma e il Parco Ducale.
Ci spostiamo poi nel sontuoso PALAZZO DEL VESCOVADO.
Le sue stanze e i suoi affreschi ci incantano.
Per ultimo vi mostriamo il PONTE ROMANO inaugurato pochi giorni fa dopo una lunga ristrutturazione : si mostra ora in tutta la sua bellezza e magnificenza.
On the occasion of the FAI Autumn days, we have been able to discover some treasures of our city, Parma, which are usually not open to the public.
Our visit starts from LA CERTOSA di PARMA.
It is a real jewel that has little to envy to the most famous churches.
We could call it a bit like the church of the domes. We also show you the traces of all the different use destinations that have taken place during the centuries.
Then we move to the center of the city to visit the Torrione Visconteo: It is a true lookout tower that allows you to see the city centre, the Parma torrent and the Parco Ducale.
Then we move to the sumptuous PALAZZO DEL VESCOVADO ( Bishop’s Palace).
Its rooms and its frescoes enchate us.
Last but not least we show you the Roman bridge inaugurated a few days ago after a long renovation: It shows now in all its beauty and magnificence.

La struttura ha uno stile gotico e barocco, inoltre come si può vedere dalle riprese è caratterizzato da un lungo viale alberato allineato perfettamente con l’ingresso.

Parma is a city in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna famous for its ham, its cheese, its architecture and the fine countryside around it. This is the home of the University of Parma, one of the oldest universities in the world. Parma is divided into two parts by the little stream with the same name. Parma's Etruscan name was adapted by Romans to describe the round shield called Parma.The Italian poet Attilio Bertolucci (born in a hamlet in the countryside) wrote: As a capital city it had to have a river. As a little capital it received a stream, which is often dry. The district on the far side of the river is Oltretorrente.
Parma è un comune italiano di 186.000 abitanti, capoluogo dell'omonima provincia in Emilia-Romagna.Antica capitale del ducato di Parma e Piacenza (1545-1859), la città di Parma è sede dell'omonima università.Sul territorio comunale sono presenti numerosi parchi, giardini e aree verdi, alcuni di notevole pregio storico e architettonico. La percentuale di verde urbano sulla superficie comunale è pari all'1,8% (ossia circa 4,68 km²) mentre ammonta a 26,6 m² il verde urbano per ogni abitante.] Il verde fruibile pro-capite nell'area urbana è di 14,57 m² per abitante e la città si è posizionata al 5º posto in Italia ed al 1º in Emilia-Romagna nel rapporto Ecosistema Urbano 2009. A Parma sono censiti 100.000 alberi, 28 milioni di m² di manto erboso, oltre 80 aree gioco per i bimbi allestite e situate in contesti verdi e una quarantina di aree dedicate ai cani.Le aristocratiche tradizioni ed una certa raffinatezza della vita sociale caratterizzano ancor oggi l'anima cittadina che si evidenzia in particolare con la passione dei parmigiani nei confronti della musica e dell'Opera, da secoli molto seguite ed apprezzate da vari strati della popolazione.
Il primo letterato nativo di Parma di cui si abbia notizia fu Gaio Cassio Parmense (I secolo a.C.), appartenente ad una delle famiglie romane fondatrici della città e autore di tragedie ed elegie, ma la storia parmense si è col tempo arricchita del contributo intellettuale di numerosi artisti, poeti e pittori che ne hanno determinato l'intenso fervore nei confronti di multiformi interessi culturali, confermato dalla presenza in città di numerosi teatri, musei, manifestazioni e rassegne internazionali nel campo dell'arte e degli scambi commerciali. Benedetto Antelami, il Parmigianino, il Correggio, Ireneo Affò, Giovanni Battista Bodoni, Ferdinando Paër, Giuseppe Verdi, Arturo Toscanini, Ennemond Alexandre Petitot, Étienne Bonnot, abate di Condillac, Attilio Bertolucci, sono solo alcune delle personalità legate a Parma che hanno lasciato un'impronta importante nelle tradizioni artistiche e culturali cittadine.Parma fu magnificata da Stendhal che la visitò per la prima volta nel 1814 e la sognò nelle pagine della sua Chartreuse (La Certosa di Parma); successivamente fu desiderata da Marcel Proust nel suo Du côté de chez Swann (La strada di Swann).Nel XVIII secolo lo sviluppo dell'arte e delle istituzioni cittadine contribuirono a definire Parma l'Atene d'Italia mentre oggi, grazie al nuovo ruolo attribuitole all'interno dell'Unione Europea con l'assegnazione di un'importante agenzia comunitaria, la città sta preparando e progettando il proprio futuro in funzione di questa investitura destinata a produrre un processo di internazionalizzazione e crescita sociale e culturale, riaffermando l'antica tradizione di piccola capitale.

Places to see in ( Parma - Italy ) Monastero di San Giovanni Evangelista
San Giovanni Evangelista is a church in Parma, northern Italy, part of a complex also including a Benedictine convent and grocery. Works for the abbey and church were started in the 10th century over a pre-existing oratory associated with St. Colombanus. In 1477 the whole complex was damaged by a fire. The abbey basilica was rebuilt from around 1490, with the present design by Bernardino Zaccagni dating from 1510. The construction ended around 1519. The design included since the beginning a thoroughly painting decoration of the interior, and a contract had been signed with the young Correggio, who a had already worked in another Benedictine monastery, in the Camera della Badessa of San Paolo.
Correggio executed five frescoes groups. The first includes the lunette with St. John and the Eagle (c. 1520), followed by the dome, with the Ascension of Christ and the drum and the four pendentives decoration. The third work was the decoration of the vault and the apse ceiling of the Cappella Maggiore, partially destroyed in 1586 when the choir was prolonged: today the central fragment with the Coronation of the Virgin (now at the Galleria nazionale di Parma) has survived. The fourth intervention was in the choir's walls, which were totally destroyed during its reconstruction. Finally, Correggio added a painted frieze which runs for the whole internal perimeter.
Preparatory drawings show that also the parts executed by his pupils were designed by Correggio, such as the candelabra in the presbytery's vault and the puttos on the cross-vaults. Around 1524, Correggio also painted two canvasses in the Del Bono Chapel, now at the Galleria nazionale di Parma: the Lamentation for Dead Christ and the Martyrdom of Four Saints.
The marble façade of the church was designed by Simone Moschino in Baroque style in 1604, and completed in 1607. The bell tower on the right side, perhaps designed by Giovanni Battista Magnani, was completed in 1613. With a height of 75 meters, it is the tallest in Parma.
The interior is on the Latin cross plan, with a nave and two aisles covered with cross vaults, and a dome at the crossing. The structure is similar to the nearby cathedral's. The grooved piers are Renaissance elements of classical inspiration. In the nave is a frieze by Correggio and his workshop (c. 1522-1524). Is ia long strip with monochrome paintings (with few red details) on a dark blue background, including also some tondoes with portraits of Benedictine popes, cardinals and monks. The main feature is a series of puttos in actions symbolizing the importance of the Christian mess and sacrifice. The grotesque decorations on the semi-piers and the vault decoration (with candelabra, puttos and symbols of St. John the Evangelist) were also from Correggio's pupils, in particular Michelangelo Anselmi (c. 1520).
The monastery has three cloisters. The first has Ionic columns, the second has decorations by Correggio and the third, known as Cloister of St. Benedict, has early 16th-century frescoes. The associated library has manuscript and codexes testifying the amanuensis activity of the local monks. The manuscripts arrived here from the monastery of Santa Giustina in Padua without decorations, and here were decorated by Damiano da Moile, Francino da Moile and, starting from 1492, da Michele da Genova.

Fontanellato è stato insignito del riconoscimento Bandiera Arancione del Touring Club Italiano e dei titoli di Città d'Arte e Cultura e di Cittaslow - Città del buon vivere e della buona tavola.
La cittadina di Fontanellato si trova a pochi chilometri da Piacenza ed è situata in piena pianura padana ricca di canali e fontanili , tra cui quello che circonda la famosa Rocca di Sanvitale il principale elemento del patrimonio storico fontanellatese. Il paese e stato per molto tempo meta di un massiccio pellegrinaggio religioso al santuario dedicato alla Beata Vergine.
Fontanellato was awarded the Bandiera Arancione award by the Italian Touring Club and the titles of Città d'Arte e Cultura and Cittaslow - City of good living and good food.
The town of Fontanellato is located a few kilometers from Piacenza and is located in the Po valley full of canals and fountains, including the one that surrounds the famous Rocca di Sanvitale, the main element of the historical heritage of Fontanellato. The village has long been the destination of a massive religious pilgrimage to the sanctuary dedicated to the Blessed Virgin.
