Citadel Hill Cetatuie Cluj Napoca Romania : Spending the afternoon out in the city and visiting Citadel Hill. From the top of Citadel Hill you can overlook the city of Cluj. On top of the hill, there is a massive cross that is a symbol of the 1848 Romanian’s revolution for independence (a call for equal rights with the other populations of the region and use of their own language), in a time when Transylvania belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. On the path of the Citadel you will find a cafe where you can enjoy a bite to eat and a drink as you overlook the city of Cluj.
