PROPOSAL ON THE BRIDGE - BRIDGETOWN BARBADOS
On Thursday 12 October 2017, Lieutenant David S Adamson proposed to his long time girlfriend Ms Wynnell Taylor in romantic style on the Chamberlain Bridge that spans the idyllic Careenage and Inner Basin in the UNESCO inscribed Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison. Lt D S Adamson, the Barbados Defence Force's Regimental Historian, rode a palomino horse from the historic BDF St. Ann's Fort Garrison Headquarters to the Bridge to propose and declare his love for Wynnell in an old military-styled public declaration. This romantic proposal, punctuated by applause from locals and visitors to the island, comprised a short ceremony, a speech and of course - the Marriage Proposal.
