Special Message from MNPS (To Charlottesville)
MNPS students are stepping out! They are making a MUSICAL statement about the recent events in Charlottesville and the racial tension that is brewing across the nation as we speak. A talented, diverse collection of students from Metro Nashville Schools (different nationalities) have gotten together in the Recording Studio and recorded an amazing song of Healing! The song is entitled We Need One Another, Right Now”.
It was timely written by Grammy Award Winning Artist, BeBe Winans. We hope this song will be used as a vehicle to heal as we struggle through this difficult time in our nation’s history.
It expresses the sentiments of our Director of Schools, Dr. Shawn Joseph, who wrote a fervent letter to the entire MNPS Staff this past Monday concerning the troubling events in Charlottesville.
Here is the song of racial reconciliation that was just recorded by these 5 Superstar MNPS students! Enjoy!

Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! Orange, located 26 miles (42 km) northeast of the city, was the hometown of President James Madison. The University of Virginia, founded by Jefferson and one of the original Public Ivies, straddles the city's southwestern border.
