Changbai Mountain Tianchi is located at the southeast of Jilin,the boundary between China and North Korea.Changbai Mountain Tianchi is the deepest lake in China,which was formed by the water of eruption in 1702,it is on the main peak of Changbai Mountain-the highest mountain in northesat of China.The origin of the name is the 2150 metres of attitude,it means “the lake of the heaven”.Tianchi is surrounded by 16 mountains,which was just like a gorgeous emerald among them.

The Beauty of China’s Changbai Mountain,Jilin Province Changbai Shan Aerial View.Covering a total area of 2000 square km, Changbaishan National Reserve is, as a large natural flora and fauna nature reserve, part of the UNESCO's Man and Biosphere Program. The Chonji Lake (Tainchi Lake), mountains, hot springs (not for bathing), and waterfalls are among the six local natural wonders. The mountains, covered with pristine forests, make an excellent tourist destination.
Tianchi Lake is 13 km in circumference but cannot be walked around as the far side is in North Korea.
Mount Paektu (Changbaishan) has two separate areas - the northern slope and the western slope with the respective north and west entrances separated by 100km.

Changbaishan West slope 夏季长白山西坡 (6 July 2010)
Changbaishan (长白山), in Jilin Province, is one of China's beautiful nature preserves. Changbaishan has two separate areas - the northern slope and the western slope. Heaven Lake (天池) is accessible from both sides of the reserve. The north and west entrances are separated by 100km.

Green China - a love letter to Changbai Mountain
Zhuo Yongsheng, a journalist and photographer, has captured beautiful images of the splendid landscape of the Changbai mountain range for the past 17 years. Zhuo works for a local TV station run by the administration office of the Mount Changbaishan nature reserve, Jilin Province. He has taken more than 100,000 photos and filmed more than 1,000 hours of video footage of the mountains, capturing the changing natural scenery across different seasons.
