Changi Chapel and Museum in Singapore. Samsung NX1000.
In honouring the spirit and commitment of those who rose from the depths of adversity, the Museum inspires future generations to come and deepen their appreciation of the heroic and inspirational stories that unfolded in Changi during the war. The Changi Museum is dedicated to all those who lived and died in Singapore, in particular the Changi area, during the dark years of World War II.
Through documentation of significant events of the Japanese Occupation, the Museum also serves as an important educational institution and resource centre. As for the Prisoners-of-War (POWs) and their families, it is a site that allows for closure of the many emotional scars inflicted by the war years.

FLYING SINGAPORE TO KUCHING, MALAYSIA - Changi Airport Terminal 4 // 212
I'm leaving Singapore! It's a bittersweet departure because I loved Singapore (and Changi Airport), but, oh, it is too expensive! I'm happy to be heading to Malaysia where things will be nice and cheao again.
Today's travel vlog highlights everything you can find in Terminal 4 of Changi Airport. While they're missing free foot massage machines, they do have internet stations, gaming consoles, incredible decor, countless restaurants, and everything duty free. My first time exploring Changi Airport, I skipped Terminal 4 (Terminal 1 and 2 had plenty to discover!), but now you can see it's a smaller terminal with less attractions, but it is still a lavish airport terminal.
For the first time, I experienced an automated customs pass and an automated boarding process. I just scanned my passport and boarding pass before passing through the gates and boom, I was on the plane. I had never seen this before, but I think it's a new level of airport efficiency!
After an uneventful 1.5-hour flight from Singapore to Kuching, Malaysia, I landed in a much smaller and less impressive airport. Kuching Airport hardly compared to Changi Airport in size, but it also seems to have one attraction, which is a mural painted along the arrival hall. It's a cute little airport.
My stay in Kuching will be mostly devoted to catching up on videos before I head to Bangkok to begin orientation for teaching in Thailand!

[4K] Walk to Haji Lane 哈芝巷, Arab Street 阿拉伯街 and Muscat Street from Bugis MRT, Singapore
A video from Bugis MRT station to Haji Lane, Arab Street and Muscat Street. To proceed straight to Haji lane, you can walk straight at the traffic light on 4:35 mark. I wanted to show the wall mural at the end of the road. Therefore, I took a detour.
Gopro still perform the best when there is enough sunlight. I have overdone the color correction this time.

Walking in SINGAPORE ????????- Chinatown to Marina Bay and Gardens - 4K 60fps (UHD)
On this walk in Singapore we visit the Chinatown district of the city-state. We start the tour at China Town Point shopping mall to the MRT station. We walk South into China town with the heritage houses with restaurants and bars.
During this hot afternoon it's less busy on the streets so we also check out sights like the Sri Mariamman Temple, the city's oldest Hindu temple features that was built in 1827. There are many streets to explore so we also see some backstreets and smaller lanes like Mohammed Ali Lane with murals.
It's time to head to the Downtown area. The buildings are modern here in the business district. Our tour continues towards the Marina Bay and the famous Sands hotel. We go through there to get to the Marina Bay Gardens, where we end this tour.

Merlion Park Info:
Merlion Park (Malay: Taman Merlion, Chinese: 鱼尾狮公园, Tamil: மெர்லயன் பூங்கா), is a Singapore landmark and major tourist attraction, located near One Fullerton, Singapore, near the Central Business District (CBD). The Merlion is a mythical creature with a lion's head and the body of a fish that is widely used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore. Two Merlion statues are located at the park. The original Merlion structure measures 8.6 meters tall and spouts water from its mouth. It has subsequently been joined by a Merlion cub, which is located near the original statue and measures just 2 metres tall.
Chinatown Singapore Info:
Chinatown (Chinese: 牛车水, Malay: Kreta Ayer, Tamil: சைனா டவுன்) is a subzone and ethnic enclave located within the Outram district in the Central Area of Singapore. Featuring distinctly Chinese cultural elements, Chinatown has had a historically concentrated ethnic Chinese population.
Chinatown is considerably less of an enclave than it once was. However, the precinct does retain significant historical and cultural significance. Large sections of it have been declared national heritage sites officially designated for conservation by the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

KINETIC RAIN SCULPTURE at Changi Airport, Singapore
Here's something to stare aimlessly at while your flight gets delayed: Kinetic Rain, an entrancing metallic ballet that Singapore is billing as the world's largest kinetic art sculpture.
The seemingly alive installation, composed of 1,216 bronze droplets attached to individual motorized pulleys, bobs and weaves in Terminal 1's departure hall at Changi Airport. While some examples of airline art look like they could've used more planning (the Oslo wang) or boldness (or less boldness, as is the case with Denver International's evil robo-horse and what-the-freak murals), this moving artwork is minimalism at its best.
Following orders from a computer program, the globules of rain flow like an ocean swell or undulate like a jellyfish's tentacles. They sometimes cohere unexpected aeronautic shapes, like an airplane, kite and hot-air balloon. Visitors are not encouraged to whack the metal globes against each other to stack a chain reaction, like those desktop office pendulums.
Kinetic Rain was designed by a team that includes Benjamin Maus, creator of this perpetual storytelling apparatus, and artist Jussi Angesleva, who's done these sort of sculptures before. It took 10 months of planning to knock it out. And while I'm not sold on it qualifying as the world's largest sculpture of its kind – the Calder mobile at the National Gallery of Art is 76 feet long, and Olafur Eliasson's rotating ceiling-mirror at PS1 looks fairly big, too – it's largely fun to watch.
