Caldera - Animated Short Film (My edit) 1080p
This video is about mental illness and schizophrenia. I found the actual movie on vimeo and was totally fascinated by it!
I used the song 'Time' by Hans Zimmer.
This video is just for practicing the editing. I didn't mean to steal anything! See below for the full credits list.
The Award-Winning CGI animated short film is impressive and powerful at the same time. That must've been lot's of work! Big ups to Evan Viera!
SYNOPSIS
Through the eyes of a young girl suffering from mental illness, CALDERA glimpses into a world of psychosis and explores a world of ambiguous reality and the nature of life and death.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
CALDERA is inspired by my father's struggle with schizoaffective disorder. In states of delusion, my father has danced on the rings of Saturn, spoken with angels, and fled from his demons. He has lived both a fantastical and haunting life, but one that's invisible to the most of us. In our differing understanding of reality, we blindly mandate his medication, assimilate him to our marginalizing culture, and entirely misinterpret him for all he is worth. CALDERA aims to not only venerate my father, but all brilliant minds forged in the haunted depths of psychosis.

Dinosaurs came back to life? “Jurassic Park” comes to China
Dinosaurs came back to life, at least in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality. In the “dinosaur valley” at the Chongqing zoo, more than 60 robotic dinosaurs of 30 varieties are on display. The biggest of them is as high as 16 meters. These reptiles include typical dinosaurs from Triassic,Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. With all the 3-D high-tech installations, visitors will be taken back to old ages when dinosaurs roamed the planet. People can even ride the creatures.

10 Minutes To Cross 2.5 KM Mighty Pamban
ERS WDM3A handles with care, the Madurai Rameshwaram passenger, onto the mother of all bridges - Pamban.
Be careful buddy, I have a YT channel.
Speed - 15 km/hr. Notice how the train almost stops before stepping onto the bridge, as if paying its due respects to the mighty Ocean.
After more than 10 minutes of shooting, my arms became numb.
The Ganges, Brahmaputra, Krishna, Kaveri and so on may be mighty rivers, but all of them lose their identities after they merge in the final destination - Mother Ocean, who welcomes all her children, so humbly with open arms.
Did you ever notice one thing? The mighty Ocean which can swallow the entire land mass of this planet in seconds, always washes our feet lovingly without any arrogance.
Pamban Bridge Playlist -
Pamban bridge is listed in the Top 10 Most Dangerous Railroads in the world -
After the 1964 cyclone, the girders of Pamban bridge were replaced and an anemometer was installed. When the wind speed crosses 55 km per hour, signals on the bridge send out an automatic warning to approaching trains.
This bridge was rebuilt in 1965 after the original bridge collapsed during the Tsunami of December 1964. It is with the reconstruction of the Pamban Bridge that Mr. E Sreedharan of Delhi Metro made his initial mark.
A woman had a miraculous escape after she fell off a moving train into the sea from the Pamban bridge. She opened the compartment door mistaking it for the toilet and fell into the sea -
The Pamban bridge is a type of cantilever bridge on the Palk Strait connects Rameswaram on Pamban Island to mainland India. It refers to both the road bridge and the cantilever railway bridge, though primarily it means the latter. It was India's first sea bridge. It is the second longest sea bridge in India (after Bandra Worli Sea Link) at a length of about 2.3 km.
Until 1911 people crossed by boat to visit an ancient Ram temple at Rameswaram. Jeez boat !!!
The railway bridge is 6,776 ft (2,065 m) and was opened for traffic in 1914. The railroad bridge is a still functioning double leaf bascule bridge section that can be raised to let ships pass under the bridge.
The railway bridge historically carried meter gauge trains on it, but Indian Railways upgraded the bridge to carry broad gauge trains in a project that finished Aug. 12, 2007. Until recently, the two leaves of the bridge were opened manually using levers by workers. About 10 ships, cargo carriers, coast guard ships, fishing vessels and oil tankers, pass through the bridge every month.
The bridge is located at the world's second highly corrosive environment, next to Miami, US, making the construction a challenging job. The location is also a cyclone-prone high wind velocity zone.
It sits on an artificial sandstone reef. Nearly 5,000 tonnes of cement, 18,000 cubic feet of crushed metal stone, 2,600 tonnes of steel and 80,000 cubic feet of boulders were used to build it.
The bridge has 145 fixed spans, and one-navigation span (a total of 225 feet) that opens for ships. The drawbridge at the center comprises two sections of the navigation span, called the Scherzer span. Each weighs 415 tonnes.
It is a spectacular sight when drawn up to let ships through.

Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding

SUMMARY
=======
Salt Lake City (often shortened to Salt Lake and abbreviated as SLC) is the capital and the most populous municipality of the U.S. state of Utah. With an estimated population of 190,884 in 2014, the city is the core of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, which has a population of 1,153,340 (2014 estimate). Salt Lake City is further situated within a larger metropolis known as the Salt Lake City–Ogden–Provo Combined Statistical Area. This region is a corridor of contiguous urban and suburban development stretched along an approximately 120-mile (190 km) segment of the Wasatch Front, comprising a population of 2,423,912 as of 2014. It is one of only two major urban areas in the Great Basin (the other is Reno, Nevada).
The world headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) is located in Salt Lake City. The city was originally founded in 1847 by Brigham Young, and other followers of the church, who were seeking to escape religious persecution in the mid-western United States. The Pioneers, as they would come to be known, at first encountered an arid, inhospitable valley that they then extensively irrigated and cultivated, thereby establishing the foundation to sustain the area's large population of today. Salt Lake City's street grid system is based on the north-south east-west grid plan developed by early church leaders, with the Salt Lake Temple constructed at the city's center.
Due to its proximity to the Great Salt Lake, the city was originally named Great Salt Lake City; however, the word great was dropped from the official name in 1868 by the 17th Utah Territorial Legislature.Immigration of international members of the church, mining booms, and the construction of the first transcontinental railroad initially brought economic growth, and the city was nicknamed the Crossroads of the West. It was traversed by the Lincoln Highway, the first transcontinental highway, in 1913. Two major cross-country freeways, I-15 and I-80, now intersect in the city. Salt Lake City has developed a strong outdoor recreation tourist industry based primarily on skiing, and hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics. It is the industrial banking center of the United States.
