Charalkunnu is a popular hill station in Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, India. The Pampa River flows in the low-lying areas. Pathanamthitta, the district headquarters, is situated 17 km to the south-east. Kozhencherry is located 5 km away.
പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിൽ, കോഴഞ്ചേരിയിൽ നിന്ന് 5 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന മലമ്പ്രദേശമാണ് ചരൽക്കുന്ന്. വളരെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ക്യാമ്പ് സെന്ററും, ധ്യാനകേന്ദ്രവും ഇവിടെ ഉണ്ട്. സന്ദർശകരുടെ പ്രധാന ആകർഷക കേന്ദ്രമായി ഇത് മാറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു.പ്രസിദ്ധമായ മാരാമൺ കൺവൻഷനും ചരൽക്കുന്ന് പ്രദേശത്തിന്റെ വളരെ അടുത്താണ്.
കോഴഞ്ചേരിക്ക് 9 കിലോമീറ്റർ വടക്കായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഉയർന്ന ഒരു പ്രദേശമാണ് ചരൽക്കുന്ന്. ഇവിടെ നിന്നു ചുറ്റുപാടുമുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ ഒരു വിമാനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്ന് കാണുന്നതുപോലെ കാണാം. തെളിഞ്ഞ കാലാവസ്ഥയാണെങ്കിൽ ആലപ്പുഴ കടൽത്തീരം ഇവിടുന്ന് നോക്കിക്കാണാം. ഇവിടുന്ന് ഏകദേശം 55 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് ആലപ്പുഴ. ആറന്മുളയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിന്റെ പണികൾ നടക്കുന്നതും ഇവിടുന്ന് നോക്കിയാൽ ദ്യശ്യമാകും. സഞ്ചാരികൾക്കായി ഇവിടെ വിശ്രമകേന്ദ്രവും ഭക്ഷണശാലയും ഉണ്ട്. മാർത്തോമ്മാ സഭയുടെ ക്യാമ്പ് സെന്റർ ഇവിടെ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
