Northern California Open Championship - Whitney Oaks Recap
ROCKLIN, California — After three days of competition John Jackson of Marina, CA earned the title of 2013 Northern California Open Champion with a final score of 5-under par 208. He maintained his position in the top of the leaderboard throughout the tournament. He was tied for second place following Round 2 and was tied for fourth place on the first day of competition.
Cameron Champ, an 18 year old high school student from Sacramento, held the top amateur position throughout the competition to earn the title of 2013 Northern California Open Amateur Champion with a final score of 213. He tied for seventh place overall in a field comprised of amateurs, PGA and Tour Professionals.
Chad Fribley of Chardonnay Golf Club tied for 12th place and was the top PGA Professional with a final score of 216. This 3-day championship was contested at Whitney Oaks Golf Club (Par 71) in Rocklin, California.
