Charleston Lake Provincial Park: Quiddity Trail (Lansdowne, ON - June 2015)
The Quiddity Trail at Charleston Lake Provincial Park is one of several trails in this park north of Lansdowne, ON, in the 1000 Islands region. This trail features a variety of landscapes, including wetlands and rock outcroppings that are typical of the Canadian Shield. The trail starts off with a series of boardwalks across two wetland areas, with a typical mixed forest in-between. The boardwalks are followed by another mixed forest, crossing a series of hills with some wet lowlands in-between. The trail ends along Runnings Bay, a western arm of Charleston Lake.
This video was shot in mid-June, 2015.

Charleston Lake Provincial Park camping
This is a slide show movie of pictures I took over the last couple of years. We have mananged to camp at CLPP at least once each summer over the last 6 years. These pictures only scratch the surface of the diversity this Ontario Park offers. If you are thinking about camping here, I would be glad to answer your questions. We normally stayed in a campsite in the Bayside Loop. If you were there. maybe you saw the purple canoe - say hi!

Blue Mountain winter hike (Charleston Lake Provincial Park)
My son and I went for a hike on a snowy winter day to Blue Mountain in Charleston Lake Provincial Park nears Lansdowne, Ont. It is the highest point in Leeds County and the 9-kilometre trail rises about 560 feet.
We accessed the trail from Warburton Road.
The light snow made some parts of the trail a little slippery but otherwise it was a great hike that took us about three hours.
