Inside Prince Charles And Camilla's Gorgeous Home
If you're new, Subscribe! →
Clarence House, the primary home of Prince Charles and Camilla, is an architectural treasure within walking distance of Buckingham Palace in London. The impressive four-story building was designed between 1825 and 1827, and before Charles and Camilla came to live at the estate, it was home of the late Queen Mother for nearly 50 years. Although the royal family's official site says the building underwent extensive refurbishment and redecoration to become a home for Charles, much remained the same as it had in the early- to mid-1900s. Even the queen's furniture and art remain in the rooms they were originally placed. If you can't make it to London and experience an annual August tour, here's a quick look at some of the highlights of the gorgeous home of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall...

England bans pigeon and crow shooting
Has Natural England gone mad? The UK government agency has banned the shooting of pigeons, crows and a total of 16 species in what looks like a craven attempt to pander to BBC presenter and animal rights activist Chris Packham. Charlie Jacoby talks to BASC and Countryside Alliance to find out what they are going to do about it. Full story at
Why shoot pigeons?
The woodpigeon is recognised as the UK’s number one agricultural pest and causes millions of pounds of damage (AHDB consultation 10-40% loss in yield. Equivalent loss of £125/ha for Oil Seed Rape, £250/ha for peas, £350-£1250/ha for brassicas) to agricultural crops every year including cereals, brassicas, oilseed rape, peas and salad crops. Pigeon damage reduces the yield, quality, appearance and ultimately the saleability of the crop. Pigeons can also cause damage in gardens and allotments - pecking at the leaves and ripping off portions, often leaving just the stalks and larger leaf veins. They may also attack and strip buds, leaves and fruits off trees and bushes.
The UK woodpigeon population was last estimated at 5.4 million pairs in 2009. Densities of wood pigeon are the highest in Eastern England, coinciding with the highest concentration of horticultural production.
Wild pigeon (game) is natural and free range, and it is one of the healthiest meats available today. It’s low in cholesterol and high in protein… and, quite simply, delicious.
Why shoot corvids?
Crows and magpies are omnivorous predators and occur across all habitats. They are major predators of ground-nesting birds, waders and song birds, consuming both eggs and young chicks.
Corvid predation particularly impacts thrushes (White, P.J.C., Stoate, C., Szczur, J. & Norris, K.J. 2014)., Research has shown that the populations of curlew, golden plover and lapwing are significantly improved by controlling corvid numbers (GWCT Research Waders on the Fringe 2010).
Crows also predate on lambs and young livestock, and can damage newly-sown cereal crops, particularly in Winter and Spring when other food sources are scarce.

Mary I of England FULL FILM, documentary, history, Bloody Mary, Mary Tudor
Mary I of England, Mary Tudor, the Catholic Queen of England, known as Bloody Mary - a NEW informative, detailed, historical film told in Mary Tudor's own words, looking at her life, reign and religion - also suitable for use in classrooms, this 2016 55 minute film is by Mary's Dowry Productions, an award winning Catholic film and media apostolate based in England and founded in 2007 - many of their films have been broadcast on EWTN, their founders were awarded Catholic women of the Year in 2010 and they have over 80 Catholic and historical films available. For more information visit Mary's Dowry Productions website.
Mary I (18 February 1516 – 17 November 1558), also known as Mary Tudor, was the queen of England and Ireland from July 1553 until her death. She was given the nickname 'Bloody Mary' by the Protestant historians after her death and the ascension to the throne of her half-sister Elizabeth, a Protestant.
During her reign, Mary Tudor worked to return England's Faith, commerce and relationship with the rest of Europe back to its former glory. So called Wigg history continues to remember Queen Mary I of England mainly for the people burned at the stake under the ancient heresy laws still in place in 16th century England, but her complete story is rich with the daughter of King Henry VIII and Queen Aragon's desperate desire to return England to it's proper place on the known world's stage as a powerful, successful and profitable nation, especially after its crippling due to the fierce persecutions upon the people, lands, properties and heritage inflicted by her father, King Henry VIII during his reign and that of the regents in the name of her younger half-brother. King Edward VI.

Stocker (Appellant) v Stocker (Respondent)
On appeal from the Court of Appeal Civil Division (England and Wales)
The parties were married in 1999 and divorced in 2012. Towards the end of 2012 the appellant requested and was accepted as a Facebook friend of the respondent’s new partner, Ms Bligh. On 23 December 2012 the appellant made a number of allegations concerning the respondent in an exchange with Ms Bligh on Facebook, which was visible to any of Ms Bligh’s Facebook friends. The appellant alleged that the respondent had ‘tried to strangle’ her, leaving red marks on her neck, following which the respondent had been arrested, and that he had been arrested on other occasions as well. The respondent issued a claim for libel, alleging that the words meant he had tried to kill the appellant. The judge determined that this was indeed the meaning the words bore, which the appellant had failed to justify, and he granted judgment to the respondent on the claim.
The issues are:
(i) Whether the judge erred in determining the meaning of the words complained of, contrary to material adduced by the appellant as to the usage of the words to which he should have had regard.
(ii) Whether the Court of Appeal erred in its approach to the standard of appellate review of the determination of meaning.
The Supreme Court unanimously allows Mrs Stocker’s appeal.
