Château Haut Breton Larigaudière - 2013 - Margaux - Kosher
Château Haut Breton Larigaudière - 2013 - Margaux - Kosher tasted by the Best Sommelier in the World Andreas Larsson.
Cassis, Plum, Herbal Spiciness
Red wine with medium towards deep colour; still quite youthful appearance with blue-purple hint. Elegant nose, quite classic style; with some roasted coffee, fine oak, wild berry notes. Medium weight on the palate, quite classic sleek structure with pronounced acidity. Tannins are pretty much polished, just emerging on the finish, as still a bit youthful and tight. So medium weight, quite traditional style, with an elegant nose. Good amount of freshness and quite elegant fruit. I just think that this is a wine that requires some further aging to open up fully.

Red Fruit, Mild Spiciness, Tobacco
Medium deep colour intensity, ruby-red with a youthful, purple hue. Fine nose, quite elegant, with some floral notes, rose petal, violet. With cassis and some wild berry fruit. There is a discreet spiciness here. Quite fine oak, tobacco leaf, some cedar wood. Yeah, elegant again. Palate is very youthful, but already polished I would say. This is certainly a Bordeaux with a more Burgundian approach. I like the softness and subtleness, with elegant layers of red and dark fruit. Very mild spiciness, fine oak. Some hints of tobacco on the finish. Quite long even though the structure is more on the medium weight. Slightly lighter style but very approachable now. It should be quite drinkable in its early years, but I still do not doubt it will continue to develop. A very fine example for the vintage.

How to taste Bertinerie wine
Located in CUBNEZAIS, in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, the Château Bertinerie has been owned by the same family for close to two centuries.
The BERTINERIE vineyard is a family owned business run by DANIEL BANTEGNIES and his two sons, Eric and Frantz. With an area of approximately 60 hectares, it includes three vineyards, three terroirs, and three castles:
Château BERTINERIE
Château HAUT BERTINERIE
Château MANON LA LAGUNE
They produce red wines, pale wines, dry white wines and rosé wines in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.
The vineyard is characterized by the use of the lyre training system and the practice of reasoned agriculture (lutte raisonnée) which is close to organic growing, as well as manual harvests. Wines sold are ready to drink. They are produced and aged in the underground cellars.
Our wines are served in 71 starred restaurants across France and exported in 23 countries. To this day, they have won 59 gold, silver and bronze medals.

Dark Plum, Bitter Chocolate, Black Truffle
Colour intensity is quite deep, still impenetrable at the core, but it is starting to shed some of that colour towards the rim. More in the direction of ruby-red. Quite delicious nose here. Inviting with very sweet fruity character. Almost with a hint of confiture, combining red berry fruits, such as raspberry with some darker aromas of plum and cassis. There is an elegant toastiness in the background, so fine oak and fine spiciness as well. Some floral hints and also a touch of earth, like black truffle, that I love. Good grip on the palate. It is fairly high concentration. There is a high degree of ripeness here, so really quite opulent fruit. It suggests sweetness, but still it keeps classically dry on the palate, without over ripeness. I love that hint of fine confiture, framboise, dark plum and cassis. Tannins, there are quite a lot of them, but very finely integrated right now. Some notes of bitter chocolate on the palate, with roasted coffee beans. Quite approachable already, quite delicious. I think this one is approaching a first level of maturity. I could easily enjoy this today. Long finish. A fine persistence. Already starting to show its best sides. It should obviously develop a lot more complexity over the coming years. So a fine wine indeed.
