Opening a 1982 Chateau Lynch Bages
One of our dinner guests sent us a Magnum of 1982 Bordeaux Lynch-Bages at a recent Epicurean Dinner and happily, after several hours in the decanter the ‘82 was fabulous.
This thirty-five year old wine showed a deep garnet color with just hints of copper on the meniscus but certainly not brown. A nice aroma of dark cherry, blackberry with a little tar and dirt but it had certainly left any signs of “barnyard” years behind.
On the palate, a core of ripe plum fruit, black licorice and a little black truffle, complex and intriguing, with a thrilling textural quality. The finish retained its original structure with reasonable tannin still present.

Décanté avant dégustation, il révèlera tout son potentiel. Un Pauillac séducteur à suivre pour son excellent rapport prix/plaisir !

Bordeaux Primeurs 2012 - interview au château Lynch-Bages : Echo de Lynch-Bages
Millésima présente les primeurs 2012 de son vin Echo (second vin de Lynch-Bages).
Jean-Charles Cazes, directeur général de ce cru en appellation Pauillac, s'est confié à la caméra de Millésima. Il partage avec vous l'expérience que son équipe et lui-même ont eu dans ce millésime favorisant les meilleurs terroirs: année qui n'a pas été de toute quiétude.
En effet, dans cette année de millésime de vigneron pour la technicité où rien n'était facile, l'expérience des équipes de Jean-Charles Cazes au château Lynch-Bages ont permis de déjouer bien des pièges imposés par la nature. La priorité, pour élaborer ce second vin, fut de conserver l'équilibre d'un fruit croquant, aromatique et de structurer le vin dans la finesse. Là résulte l'équilibre aromatique et gustatif d'Echo de Lynch-Bages 2012: vin très gourmand, délicieux et délicatement tannique.
Caractéristiques techniques en amont du millésime et profil du vin sont passés au crible par notre intervenant.

Château Lynch Moussas - 2012 - Pauillac 5e Grand Cru Classé tasted by the Best Sommelier in the World Andreas Larsson.
Ripe Fruit, Red Currant, Cedar Wood
Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby-red colour; offering some slightly, lighter colour at the rim. Quite intense and forward nose; showing some roasted aromas of roasted coffee, hint of wood, tobacco and dark berries. Palate is quite medium weight, I would say, classic medium weight, with a dense core of ripe fruit, such as red currant and dark berries, underlined by that really fine wood; with a roasted coffee, cedar wood. It has a tannic presence, but quite polished. Nicely persistent on the after taste. Good length there, persistent, in a rather classic style without too much concentrations, but it certainly has good potential for further development. Quite a stylish wine.
